Nice enough for the price. Bed was a little soft and saggy, the TV was small. Easy parking. The free breakfast was ok but minimal. Nice area for sitting outside at night. It's SoCal, so it's almost always nice outside.

Nice and clean, very close to the John Wayne Airport. Nestled amongst other hotels - very safe feeling. Staff was friendly and helpful.

When I ask for a no smoking room and my room smells of smoke for me it is something unacceptable.
All the reviews talk about a clean hotel but come on guys what are your standards? Maybe the linen were clean (I hope) but everything else was not ok. I found spiders and other bugs. Stains on chair and table. Stains on lamps and bedside tables. Noisy fan in the washroom. Forget to sleep if someone talks outside your room because you can hear even the wind blowing.
Two stars out of five is a gift. I don't give one out of five just because there is something even worse than this out there.
Not a good hotel if you travel for business.

Don't take my opinion as something to base your decision off of because I didn't stay for long. I was just visiting a friend who was staying there. From what I experienced though it was pleasant. Not a lot of noise and commotion. The room was spacious and furniture was big and roomy. Bathroom was nicely sized as well. Room was also cleaner than most places I've stayed at. Can't tell you anything about the pricing cuz I did not ask. Overall, it was a very comfortable and VERY spacious room. I'd stay there over and over again if I needed a place in that area often.

Excellent service and amazing prices. Had an instance with a dirty room/slow wifi on the backside, the front desk very politely moved me to another room. Excellent customer service overall, fully recommend for an economical stay!

Friendly staff. Free breakfast available until 11am. Checkout is at Noon. Pool and Jacuzzi was clean. The only bad thing was the noise level outside of the next doors opening and closing was really loud. But besides that everything else was great. Parking is included in the rate of the room.

Quit place and nice/safe neighborhood. had a great stay. breakfast rules have tightened since new management but it's alright. close to Newport beach and Laguna beach. not so much to downtown L.A. definitely need a rental car

Clean room very nice staff. Great location and free shuttle for John Wayne airport. Rooms clean beds firm with pillow top. Pool and hot tub for guest use to lean and warm

If you want a nice place to stay at a reasonable price choose the Clarion Hotel, John Wayne Airport. Rooms were clean, friendly front desk, free shuttle here and there, pool, jacuzzi, firepit and workout room.

Room was clean and comfortable. However, when I pulled up to the hotel, there were several SAPD and there was even a CSI van outside of the hotel. The police had someone's room door open and they appeared to be arresting someone. Obviously this isn't the hotel's fault, but I might cough up the extra $10 to stay in Irvine next time

Very comfy. Had to stay on a fold out couch unexpectedly and don't think it's that uncomfortable compared to some fold out couches.

It's got a pool and hot tub and the rolls have their own AC units soft beds and water pressure is pretty good no problem with hot water at all

If you're in the area and need a place to crash, Clarion will probably be just the place. Not a super luxury place, but if you just need a bed and a shower, it'll do. They have a nice fire pit area next to the pool that they light at night which was nice. Late check out time is also a plus.

Good location that is central in Orange county. Easy access from freeways and airport. Hotel is likely 30+ years old but has a number of upgrades. Rooms are somewhat small but roomy enough for the price. Newish carpet and fake hardwood in the entry. Doors and hardware inside are very old. TV is flat screen but rather small. Desk chair is a $20 staples office chair that is 10+ years old. Bed is rather old but nothing that is uncomfortable. Refrigerator and microwave provided. Bummed that breakfast is not included. Bistro in the lobby with good prices for the convenience.
