Cool area. Always live music coming from somewhere. Very popular. You definitely want to check out this area if you visit Savannah.
Beautiful little park in the heart of Savannah. Gives a different atmosphere than the beautiful squares throughout the city. It's more open (fewer trees) and surrounded by businesses. Great place to watch some live music or just sit and have a drink. Plenty to do around the park borders (food, drinks, shopping) catering to all tastes.
We love going to the City Market every-time we are in town. We love to see the new shops that have opened. One of our favorite new places is the Georgia Wine Room. The girls love it while the guys go across the street to the savannah cigar shop. We lover City Market.
City Market is an amazingly vibrant area that you must experience when visiting Savannah. Whether it is it's live entertainment; abundant restaurants, some which even offer outdoor dining; or unique stores; there is something here for everyone. And it's not just for the tourists to enjoy. This is the place that locals adore. It is definitely THE place to relax and hang out. Come see for yourself; come during the day or nightand enjoy!
Love City Market. Always lively. Always something to do. Pet friendly, with pet stores is a huge plus. Water park in the summer. Large Chess pieces. Good food. Couldn't ask for a better block.
I've been going to City Market for years. There are many restaurants and night clubs in City Market. It is a trendy place to be. There are also art galleries and usually good live music. The restaurants are varied from pizza to fine dining. There are candy stores and Ice cream parlors; jewelry stores and museums as well.
I am ecstatic about Savannah after visiting their town center. What a gem! Wasn't sure what was there but took a two hour drive to find out and went back the next day for more. Love the history, restaurants, and the many places within walking distance of each other. My wife and I will revisit when traveling into Georgia now that we know Savannah is a special place to vacation and escape.
Blocked off streets create a bazaar market feel, but you can easily duck into one of the multitude of shops that are crammed along this section that teems with pedestrians. Food and drinks are available and outdoor bands keep it interesting. Be sure to stop in at the Prohibition Museum for a first rate interactive tour.
Had fun today at the Prohibition Museum. Interesting history shown in a realistic setting. You can even get a drink in a speakeasy! Then we came out to live music on the street. Love City Market!
Savannah is very dog friendly. There are two pet stores, one on each end of City Market, named Woof Gang Bakery. They have specialty treats, toys, pet supplies, and gifts. Dogs are very welcome there and your dog may get a free treat. Many restaurants with outdoor eating areas allow you to bring your dog to dine with you. They will bring water in a dog bowl for them.
We have visited Savannah many times, but I have to say, it's a totally different experience when you have your fur baby with you.
Always clean, with plenty of seating and I enjoy the live music in the evenings. Shops are better than what's on River Street and there are a couple good eateries. Wish some of the bars were better but overall a nice space in the city for a drink, a bite and a seat.
One of the few places you can legally leave a bar with a beer in your hand. It's great to sit outside, listen to the live music and have a cold drink. Also the food is amazing too. Definitely a hot area in Savannah.
Great time! We went here on Easter weekend and we had a blast. Lots of great food and shopping. Music and moonwalk bouncy houses for the kids. Great, carefree atmosphere!
I visited during the St Patrick's holiday. The food, music and activities were a lot of fun. We rode the trolley from the market, which was a great way to return to our car parked several blocks away.
City Market is always a must stop when I visit Savannah. Very cute shopping and the food is divine! I like being able to walk around the different shops and galleries with my alcoholic beverage. Live music on the weekends makes it more pleasurable!
