It's a little harder to enjoy while under construction but we do have a membership and our kids always have a wonderful time. I love that they allow outside food so we can bring a cooler and stay longer. The cafe by the children's museum is pretty overpriced.

My kids love the museum center. The Natural History Museum is their favorite. The Duke's Children's Museum is another favorite. We've been going for the last 7 years and I never regret our membership. It is a great value. The food options in the past have left much to be desired. We typically bring food with us now. Love the holiday show as well. Trains and Legos and thoughtful, friendly volunteers.

Love this place. Fun and informative, in a historic building. As of the time of this review they are renovating the building, repairing some serious wear and tear, and yet they still have as much of the building open as possible. I can't wait to see it looking like new once the work is done.

I've been to the Museum Center many times and it is always a pleasant experience. Over the last year's it is gotten a little pricey to go to all of the venues at the same time but each exhibit is well thought through and the presenters at the exhibits do a wonderful job of telling they're stories.
I have always especially liked the Cincinnati Riverside exhibit with what appears to be a real riverboat that you can board and a real 1800 Cincinnati Street where you can see the merchants and the printers and The Butchers.response / report this review -

The kids museum is fantastic. There are lots of different settings for imaginative play (vet, supermarket, diner etc). There is a large water area with smocks to protect clothes from splashing, a plastic ball room with all sorts of contraptions for getting the balls around and even a separate area for smaller kids that has toys, several fun play environments and a little room for nursing or reading quietly. There is something for everyone and we always leave happy & exhausted.

I haven’t been here since I was a very small child, but I’m giving it the highest rating because it is a national treasure. I live in Columbus and remember well the destruction of our beautiful Union Station. I recognized it, even then, as a tragic loss. In Huntington, WV, a town named for the railroad magnate, Collis P. Huntington, the station is unused and disrespected. I’m thrilled to see this gorgeous piece of historic architecture given the loving attention it deserves. Good job, Cincinnati!

Right now most of the building is under some must needed construction. The children's museum is still open but that is about it. I am really looking forward to the reopening but I'm not sure when that is Just google it! When it does reopen I know it will be top notch and I will be buying a pass.

Under heavy construction right now. Almost the entire museum is closed to the public. But what isn't is great. The children's museum is fun, even for adults. The rotating exhibits are always interesting. If you can excuse the mess, you can see some fantastic stuff.

The museum was a lot of fun. We went for the Star Wars Costume Exhibit and it was great. Overall, the museum was under construction, but it didn't hurt the experience at all. The place was well laid out, and there was plenty to do.

Fun for adults and kids alike. Makes for a great date night. Great exhibits. You can definitely spend more than a few hours in there.

Always support your local museums! The Union Terminal was such a phenomenal place to go as a kid. The history of the building alone is worth the trip. Their children's museum is AMAZING. I haven't been to their natural history museum in a few years, but I can tell you it's good enough to be part of school courses from kindergarten through college level. Their displays are always nicely kept and their facilities are clean, including their bathrooms. Their food is pretty good, too. The iMax 3D Theater is an amazing experience as well, which I highly recommend for all ages.

We took our 3 year old to the Children's museum. It is a great place for learning and play. We spent five hours there and we probably could have stayed the whole day. The only reason I give this place a four vs. A five star rating is the cafe doesn't have much and what they do have is way overpriced. You are better off planning for lunch off campus.

Went to see the Viking exhibit. It was nicely displayed, encouraging free movement from one area to another. A few displays were slightly interactive- buttons to push, panels to spin, touch screens with information. Every part of it was easily accessible. Some areas had quiet background sounds that fit the displays. At the end was a metal frame showing the size of an actual Viking ship, the largest ever found, with wood from the ship in place. There was a short movie of a ship on the ocean and afterwards the explanation of the framework and wood. Nice, but I could have gone with a shorter movie in place of more info. All in all, great place to kill an afternoon.
