We are passing through on our way to Arizona and decided on sushi. We read that this was one of the best places to eat in the area. Wow! Are we glad we stopped! We ordered panang curry, cilantro roll, spicy shrimp roll, and shrimp tempura. The prices were good, food better, and service absolutely impeccable! A definite must try!
Great service and food. Can fill up fast so call early for reservations. Walk in traffic can vary in the summer. We like to eat here than walk down to canal park and take in a rubber Ducks game.
Food was amazing, however the service my group got was very slow. We had a group of about 15 (so I wasn't expecting a super speedy service anyway), but we had reservations and did not end up with food until an hour and a half after seated. We were ready to order and kept trying to tell our server, but even when he stopped by to re-order someone's beer they walked away. But the food was incredible, so three stars.
Quite possible, my all-time favorite restaurant. Variety of Asian cuisine - but you MUST get the cilantro roll. It’s the best! Also pictured here is the volcano roll and pineapple fried rice with chicken - my other go-to every time we come. You can select the level of heat you want 0-5 which is great to cover everyone’s need for spicy food!
Went here for my boyfriends birthday with his mom and step dad. Waiters were awesome and everything was wonderful. Only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because we told them I had a shellfish allergy and they said thank you for telling us. Me and my boyfriends mother got pad Thai. Mine was chicken hers was shrimp but when they packed our stuff to go they switched them up and I got the shrimp and she got the chicken and we didn't notice til we got home.
Amazing! great food, great service, really nice place and it's great portions! I absolutely love this place, my boyfriend and I go there all the time, we love it. definitely recommend for a nice occasion or date
If you come to Akron for any reason eating at Cilantro is a must. This is by far my most beloved place to eat in Akron. I lived there for 5 years as a student and my one regret is not discovering Cilantro sooner. Even for a student the prices are not outrageous, yes it's a nice restaurant so you will be spending more than you do at a chain, but it's worth it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You don't have to be extremely dressed up. And I have never ordered anything on the menu I didn't end up thoroughly enjoying. Service can be spotty, great some days depending on who you get or just above average service, but never bad. I have never had a bad experience at Cilantro and I have been there many times.
Hard to put into words how much I like this place. First of all, I could stare at the hand-painted wallpaper all day! Please new owner (Katie), don't change the wallpaper! This classic restaurant (that my dad frequented in the Mad Men days) hasn't lost its appeal. The steaks are still great, and the Hogwash on the Oysters on the Half Shell is not to be missed. I do hope The Diamond brings back the special birthday candles. I miss those fantastic sparklers - it was half that fun of celebrating a birthday there. I'll keep going - hope to see you there!
We were looking for a new place to have dinner and I really wanted Pad Thai. I came across Cilantro when searching and decided to give it a try. I wish I would have found this place sooner. We got there as it opened on a Saturday evening and had no problem getting a table for 2 without a reservation right away. We both ordered the Pad Thai and a spicy crab roll as an appetizer. This is the first time I have ever been asked what level of heat/spice would I like my Pad Thai to be. The range was 0-5. I did a level 3 and it had a nice zip to it. My wife did level one and was very happy with her choice, mild with a slight hint. We had great service throughout our dinner and the restaurant was very nice. We will definitely be back!
Have been here about 6 times and have never had a bad experience. Their crab fried rice is to die for. Would always recommend this to my friends and family.
The price to quality ratio is not worth it in the slightest. Not to mention the service was slow and poor. Even the drinks were a rip off. "Martinis" at about half the size as a normal martini, but at twice the price. Not worth it. If you want good Thai food then go to pad Thai. If you want good service and delicious good go to bricco. Just don't go here.
Generally good. Some rough days but nothing that will keep me from returning. Food is fresh. Drinks are good. Outside seating
Love this place! The avacado rolls are always fresh and amazing. I haven't tried anything yet that I didn't like. Highly recommend trying Cilantro!
Ambience at bar area and overall sub part. Tom yum soup was phenomenal and inexpensive. House special Chicken spicy Thai curry was below average. Service staff are not familiar with their food and menu. Veggies stale and chicken average. If you are looking for good choices, this may not offer
