I give 2 stars for the very nice apartment office staff. Not great for the price especially in the winter. Rent was cheap, but don’t save much when have to pay a $156 electricity bill for heating during winter months no thermostats, so it is either have heat on all day or off no in between. Not good idea to leave baseboard heaters on with cats- big fire hazard. Also they have rodent, bugs, and mold problems super disgusting I actually for last 3 months of my lease my cat and I started staying at my boyfriends because the mold was bothering our allergies so much. This is a review on the main floor apartments, so I am sure you probably wouldn’t have mold, bug, and rodent problems on third floor.
I live here 2 years in two different apartment. Both had heating issues during winter. The heating system is too old and apartment had leaking issues.
Just take a look at My utility bill during winter, you can see the difference between Country Meadows apartment and My current apartment is horrible.
In Country Meadows.
December/2016 - $ 135.2
January/2017 - $ 165.9
February/2017 - $ 195.4
March/2016 - $ 120.5
In My New Apartment @ Verona
March/2017 - $ 36.6
The apartment also had bed bug issues. I spent 1500 bucks to get rid of bedbugs using a heating treatment in My apartment.
9 year resident. Great place to live. Highly recommend. Management/office/maintenance staff have always been super helpful even with little things not related to my apartment. I haven't needed many repairs but when I did they took care of it ASAP, usually that day. The grounds are beautiful, they really do a fantastic job gardening. If you enjoy flowers you will love this place. (Check out the spring tulips) It doesn't feel like you are in madisonbut you're so close to everything! Great heated pool. Complex is older but that means you have lovely landscaping on the grounds, big mature trees and space between buildings. Also, older buildings have incredible sound proofing compared to newer construction. I've never heard my neighbors or their pets. Overall the complex is well maintained both inside and out. Great location and price!
Country Meadows is a fantastic place to live! The apartments are modest but extremely well maintained- each time my roommate or I have reported an issue it has been fixed within a day (and often within a few hours). The staff is accommodating, the location is convenient, and the neighbors are friendly.
You get what you pay for. It is neither the best nor the worst place I have lived in. It is an old place which leads to regular breakdowns and repairs. The neighbors seem friendly as does the management. I have experienced some crime (car breaking) besides that, nothing. The best part is the bunnies and small animals playing in the yard. You do get a half decent view outside your window.
The apartments are simple but clean. Neighbors have always been nice. Have been there 5 years without a single issue. The staff though are the best part. They are AMAZING!!! Great service, quick response, friendly, flexible. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable top-notch service.
Affordable, great location (close to work at Epic and close enough to attractions downtown without living downtown). There was some crime in nearby streets while we lived there, but we felt safe. AWESOME staff--they are great with pets, they became our friends and knew our names and cared about our latest news, they always had free cookies in the office. They shampooed and repainted our apartment before we moved in, which was wonderful--so clean. If you pay rent early, you get entered into a chance to win free rent. Our friend won one month, so we know it's legitimate. They often have deals to get money off rent, so be sure to ask. I would recommend Country Meadows in a heartbeat. We lived there about a year and only moved to go back to school out of state.
