It cost over $1600 for an ultrasound and two blood tests after insurance. This is just robbery. Get all your blood work done at labcorp and it is 1/5 of the cost even if you don’t use insurance. Also make sure to double check what radiology will cost. Apparently the same ultrasound will cost $400 before insurance at some other providers rather than $1300
Doctor very resourceful, and right on my blood problems, being I was to point of getting blood transfusions, that happened through OSF,feeling so much better
Wish they had not dropped the mask requirement. Good and bad, like other places. I quit my PCP when she gave up supporting my quest for a DM diagnosis. Some subtle put downs went on. Another doctor was just screaming at me that I didn't have the features of DM, which was horrifically triggering. But, there are good caring doctors here too, like Patel in pulmonology and Chalasani in Rheumatology..
The nurses in oncology and hematology in the office(Cancer Treatment). My grandmother who as well have dementia has had breast cancer is receiving chemo treatment. These nurses are whatever they are just sit up and gossiped the whole time. It didn’t even seem like they were doing a job. Some lady with blond hair consistently talking about a doctor talked to her about gossiping and then she still sits and gossip. Seem like it was taking forever for my grandmother to even start the treatment for the day. All these other patients where coming in. My grandmother already doesn’t really know what’s going on. I know some offices are understaffed or what have you but I been to this doctors office more than once I get the same feeling and vibe from these individuals every time. It’s like a culture in this place. This place is ridiculous I said before this is one of the worse hospitals in Champaign especially being AA. Though, they have mask there coughing more than one nurse are coughing and are around cancer patients I don’t get it. Even the front desk receptionist was sick and coughing.
Laura H, is one of the best nurses (APRN) I’ve ever seen. She explains things, and answers all of my questions, the other nurse also are very nice and helpful. I love the My Chart app, it’s a great way to ask follow up questions, Laura is really great at adding notes and I can always go back to read them if I forgot something. Thank you all for your great service, and timely appointments.
