This place is as BAD as it gets. They misdiagnose, use scare tactics to get you admitted (especially if you have paying insurance), hire inexperienced house staff and their overall treatment of patients leaves one wondering how they keep their doors open. We needed a community hospital (without a doubt) just NOT this one. Go to Florida Hospital in Wesley Chapel as they are a FIVE STAR facility.

Tonight I had the best meal. The vegetables were superb. The food is better then most upscale restaurants. Rooms are always very clean. The staff are attentive and friendly. They have always taken excellent care of my mother and also myself. The Doctors we have had are top notch. Thank you all for going beyond the call of duty.

The staff has been wonderful! No long wait in the ear I was seen immediately and was in my room 2 hours later. Loved my nurses. Doctors and techs. Rooms look like a hotel room, bed clean and updated. Hope I don’t have to come back but if I do I’ll be coming here for now on.

I had an incredible experience here at St Joseph's. I came into the Er with a serious pain in my stomach. They brought me right in . I was so sick, I couldn't even fill out the paperwork. They had me on pain meds and antibiotics within the hour, then onto a ct scan.
They were extremely fast and efficient. I spent a 4 day stay here in the hospital. The nursing staff is fabulous! Everyone was so friendly and very informative. They answered all my questions and concerns.
The whole staff is great all the way up the line from cleaning to surgeons.
I'm fortunate to have been near my house in Lutz when this occurred.
If I hadn't wound up at St Joseph's , I may have not recovered the same.
Thank you St Joseph's for saving my life!

Another positive experience at SJ Hospital North ER. My wife was there today and the staff was really awesome. ER Nurse Melissa was especially great and Dr Patel too. Their explanations and bedside manner are commendable. I felt that they truly cared about us.

Overall the facility is clean, the private ER rooms are superior to what is offered elsewhere, and the staff interactions are professional and positive.

This mirrors our prior experiences over the years and is a reason we return to this location. Thanks

My father was admitted last summer and was taken into ICU as he went into septic shock. He spent nearly a week in ICU and was then transported to a regular room. The nurses were all so kind to him! He was so sick he could've died but the doctors saved his life. A few days ago my grandmother was admitted for blot clots. Again, all of the nurses have been great! The doctors actually took time to come and talk to me and my mother regarding updates and just casual conversation. My family could not say enough about this hospital! Amazing staff! They've successfully saved two very important lives.

This hospital is amazing! Absolutely wonderful staff from janitorial staff to head surgeons. Even the cafeteria staff is amazing except one and I must shareConversation goes as follows:
    (Down to the hospital cafeteria)
Me: I'd like a grilled chicken veggie wrap
Server: with what veggies (in a slow belittling tone
Me: everything it says on the poster except tomato)
    Server: w-h-a-t V-e-g-g-i-e-s
Me: nevermind, take the next customer

The next customer goes up to him and in a heavy Eastern European accent says "may I have a veggie wrap" and he says to her, "what did you say? Wedgie wrap or veggie wrap, what are trying to say?" (He wasn't trying to be funny either). The lady said, "I apologize I have a heavy accent." I stopped her and said "ma'am, you don't have to apologize, he is a very rude and unprofessional young man" you see, I'm from NYC if you wanna be rude I can take rudeness and serve it right back, with a side of fries, but when you do that to an older woman in a hospital where people who have loved ones who are dying IT'S NOT OKAY! I reported it to the manager and he was very understanding or maybe he just wanted me to go away, I told him it's okay to have a bad day, I get it, maybe somethings going on at home, but you don't act that way in an institution where families are already emotionally and physically distressed. This young man, around 20, with Chucky reddish/blond hair hair, has a great deal to learn about life and is not a reflection of the rest of the institution or cafe staff. I don't want him to lose his job but I hope he never sees himself treated the way he treated those customers today. He should be serving food at a prison not a hospital, he'd learn fast how to speak to other human beings. Thanks, St Josephs North! I won't let this experience ruin the overall amazing experience I've had here.

I have delivered 2 babies at this hospital and I cannot say enough positive things about the facility and staff. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and makes it a priority to educate parents. There are so many resources and support they offer for parents and babies. The rooms are new and clean and nurses make every accomadation possible for your comfort and satisfaction. Both times I delivered the atmosphere was very low key and nurses gave our family undivided attention and care. They even sent our new family home with a full dinner the day we were discharged, which I appreciated immensely! I would highly recommend this hospital to any expecatant mother in the area!!

I was recently a patient here and this hospital was amazing. All the employees and staff were very caring and knowledgeable. They verify your name and date of birth at each encounter. The food was great. You have room service to order your meals.

I can't recall anything bad taking place at this hospital. I live 20-30 minutes away but chose this hospital opposed to the one down the street from me because such great level of care received!

Anthony RN and Mike RN were outstanding on the 2nd floor. Rich who worked with the cardiac stress test was so pleasant. Alex the P.A. amazing. There was a transporter who was so kind-- i think his name is isaiah and the MD's had excellent patient care and gave you time to explain symptoms.

I HIGHLY recommend this facility. Thank you St. Joseph North for providing such excellent quality care. Many Bay area hospitals can learn from you guys! :)
I look forward to being called for follow up to give your hospital an excellent review. Thank you again😊😊😊

My father was admitted for two nights. This is by far Tampa's nicest hospital. Very clean, very nice staff, great doctors, and the best security system I've ever seen at a hospital. They lose s star for calling to say my dad was ready to be discharged and then making us wait for two hours to take him out. Otherwise, five stars!

I just moved to the area so I was extremely reluctant to go to the ER because let's face it no one likes going to the hospital, but I was having unbearable pain where I couldn't breath, move or sit without having pain and it was already going on 5 days so on 1/7/17 at 12pm I get to the ER, after I check in I was told to have a seat about a half hour later they call me in to do an EKG and put a PIC in my arm to take blood and left it in my arm in case they have to start an IV then they tell me there are no beds and to go back out into the waiting room with this thing in my arm, so I do then I start seeing one person after another all coming back to the waiting room with the same thing hanging off their arms it was crazy about an hour later they bring me to get an x-ray then tell me still no beds and to go back to the waiting room, after sitting on those uncomfortable chairs in the waiting area for 2 and a half hours in severe pain I couldn't take it anymore I was literally about to start crying and I don't like crying in public so I go back to front desk and explained that I'm in alot of pain and sitting for 2 and a half hours is making it worse and very uncomfortable and if I can't be seen that I'd rather go home and lay in my bed with a heating pad, the woman said well it's your choice so I said well I have this PIC in my arm, she said I'll get someone to take it out and they did. Personally I have never experienced such unprofessional and insensitive people in my 47 years of life, no Nurse or Doctor came to talk to me in the 2 and a half almost 3 hours I was sitting there. I will NEVER go back to that hospital again!! Very Unprofessional!! If I could I'd give them 0 stars!!
