Nature Coast State Trail

This is a 31.7 mile paved trail starting at Chiefland at.the Southern end. The Chiefland Trailhead is East of Hwy 19 and North of the Railroad Depot.at SE 2nd Ave. The Trailhead has parking, restrooms, and a pavilion. From there it goes about 10 miles N.N.W. to a “Y” at Wilcox Junction. If you go East from the junction, you will go along Hwy.26 to Trenton (about 7 miles). If you go West, you will go across the old railroad trestle across the Suwannee River and through Old Town and Cross City (mostly along Hwy 19 for about 12.5 miles). There are covered and uncovered trailside benches every one or two miles. Trailheads are at Chiefland, Fanning Springs, Trenton, Old Town, and Cross City.
