This is a great place to help you get the most out of your visit. The people were very helpful. You can buy your tickets for some things here as well.

The 'go-to place' to start a visit to Charleston. Wide range of information. The local maps are very good. You can park right there and take the FREE shuttles around town.

Cool (AC) place to gather information, book tours and park your vehicle. Free bus/trolleys make frequent stops out front. Most workers at information counter are extremely knowledgeable about everything!

Very helpful. Air conditioned tour was great (1.5 hours). We jumped off at the market for shopping and lunch, took the free bus back to the visitor parking lot after.

Don't believe the signs! It says first half hour free, but it's not true. We set our iPhone timer and left before it was half an hour. When we got through the gate we were informed that after 15 minutes they charge you the dollar. I don't understand how the sign can say first half hour free and it's not. False advertising. Really sour note to end the day.

Very disappointed. Staff is very quick to offer packages, but there was no follow through, we didn't receive a senior discount nor the discount for being a National Park Member and there were only 2 working the counter with a very long line. We paid $78 for a bus tour of the city and tickets to Fort Sumter with transportation to and from through Gray Line. Gray Line took us to the ferry, but then said they would "let us" take public transportation back. Have no clue where to go. Then we get to the ticket counter for the ferry at F. Sumter and senior prices are clearly posted and it's a National Park. Plus we were told the tour was full and they couldn't accommodate us. The Center had not communicated with them. It was only after my husband raised his voice that they agreed to take us. Southern hospitality is NOT here. Seems more of a scam to gouge money from visitors to your city.

Very helpful staff and really catered for elderly people who wanted to see the sights. Promoted the free buses to take you around town and the tour buses. The guides really go into depth about the town that they love.

We got the crabbiest, most unwelcoming lady who wanted to know what we wanted to do. Hard to answer since it was our first trip to the city. We ended up going to the back of the line and waited for a young gal who was pleasant and helpful. I was so taken back I didn't ask for Ms. Crabby's name but I wish I had.
