First time here today. Wow. The Sloppy Jai (Sloppy Joe) is a spiced halal ground lamb on a bun is one of the best things I've ever eaten. You get two per order so my son and I each ordered a set. The fried catfish version was equally good. We also ordered the fried/battered cauliflower Chaat with dipping sauce which was better than french fries. Highly recommended.

Worst service ever. We were seated for about 25 mins and no one came to take our order. We even told the host that no one has taken our order twice but no one showed up.

Not impressed whatsoever. The food was very bland and was soggy. The bread was very dry and slightly stale. Did not resemble anything close to proper Indian food. The service was also quite slow but that could be attributed to the fact that the restaurant was completely full. In addition, the prices were completely out of sync with the quality of the food, there are many local Indian places with much better food, service, and prices.

Contemporary Indian street food - chat corner. I recommend this place. Pricey though. Be prepared to wait for long before be seated. Tastes and environment would make the wait time worth

Literally everything I've had at Chai Pani has been fantastic, though my experience is mainly eating off others' plates, because I can't NOT get the Bengali Fish Fry And I don't even like fish. It's that good. As to that friendly service, unique Indian eats, good beer selection and great cocktails One of my favorites.

Really cool ambiance. Nicely decorated and hip restaurant. Most of their food is good. We went there for a quick snack and tea and lime soda. The lime was not sweet. The original Indian lime soda is supposed to be! The Indian fries with beef is dilicious (not pictured).

Food is fantastic, the menu is very creative. The interiors are intended to make you feel very much Indian with a blend of modern touch, has posters of Indian culture and country scenes. Must visit in Atlanta.

Wonderful, colorful, exotic experience at Chai Pani. We met there for a family dinner with a group of seven including two little children. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Table was very spacious also, not as narrowly seated as in some other places. The food was a wonderful and exciting explosion of intense sweet and sour and spicy flavors. Everything was crispy and fresh and tasted very good. The decoration is unique and beautiful. We also loved the Indian music even though it was a little loud.

What a GREAT experience!! Indian "street food" was a real treat to eat. We tried 3 dishes, and I loved them all. YUM!

The ambiance was great - funky and fun. Our server was playful, knowledgeable, and made some great recommendations. The atmosphere was energetic, and yet family-friendly; 20-somethings, young families with babies, old friends getting together, and obvious first-dates were all happening in the same space and everything jelled.
