El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant serves the best salsa in town, and it's complimentary! I've never had a bad dining experience there. The wait staff are patient and helpful, but it's their accuracy that impresses me most. I see so many locals here, it seems like a community meet-up. The place is always busy, but there's seldom a wait for a table. The service is world-class, and the food is authentic and delicious. See you there soon, mi amigo.

The service was attentive without being overbearing. Our server put up with our kids, and even brought capri-suns for them. The food was excellent, with perfectly cooked meat and great queso.

Always good food! I've never been here when I couldn't get a table although they are sometimes busy. We're warned the plates are hot, because they and the food on them is. Friendly staff!

Everytime I go to El Sombrero, I feel like I'm coming home.
By far best Mexican in Macon Georgia, nest atmosphere, best service, and relent drinks! Wouldn't change one think and I've worked on the service industry for over 15 years!response / report this review -

El Sombrero, El Somb for the locals, is the best Tex Mex style food in town, specifically the Forsyth Road location in the Kroger shopping center. Being born and raised in Texas, I know good Mexican food and El Somb consistently offers the best food, salsa and drinks in town. The wait staff is good & German (Herman) behind the bar is the best. Good for kids, big groups and date night. 🌃

Just had the burritos deluxe with stewed chicken. Hardly any chicken in the burritos, not enough to taste. Tastes like a bean burrito. For good Mexican food try El Bronco in Warner Robins Much better

We are from Florida and came to visit family in Macon, El Sombrero has the best Mexican food. Their server (Martin) was very professional and took very good care of us. Will come again.

They even cater for business or party events. Just the best. My favorite item is the cheese dipMust be a secret recipe. And the salsa is fantastic!!!

Fantastic "classic chimichanga." Also one of the best salsas of any Mexican restaurants. Fast service at 8pm on a Wednesday. Hot food. I totally recommend it. There's a reason it has high ratings.
