This place is horrible. I was inpatient and never will go there again. All the doctors there treat your horribly and don't know what they're doing. They treated me like garbage because of my mental illness. Not a good place. Also one of the doctors there violently grabbed me. (I won't say who) I had to file a complaint. People aren't who they seem there. Some staff are nice but DO NOT trust the doctors there.
I loved it here so much! I was here for just a week and it was amazing. Being woken up by the peanut butter jelly song and the banana song was fun! Of course that's only for the adolescent section. The food is great the staff is great. I would go here again if I have another mental breakdown
I'm a 15 year old ten, and I won't go into detail, but I have been in 6 hospitals for suicidal reasons, and this was my favourite stay. Sure, it's not perfect, but the staff was nice, I has some fun, and got a lot of help.
I have been hospitalized here numerous times, and they have some of the most caring staff and physicians I have ever encountered. I wish I could replicate this hospital in additional locations around the state! This hospital is filled with people who truly care about making a difference in others' lives. Thanks for everything!!
So far this has been a nightmare. I brought my husband in yesterday afternoon. I had called ahead to check on insurance coverage. She told me she would meet me when we arrived for our appointment. By the time we arrived at 5:00 she was gone for the day and had left little or no information for he coworkers. I asked for a wheelchair to get my husband inside and that never happened. Two hours later they could see he could get from the lobby to the back and after about 10 minutes they finally found one. I called my insurance this morning and they were never contacted so the $4200 paid up front, that emptied our health spending account and bank account, may be gone forever. I called to check on my husband this morning and they won't give me any information because I don't have his patient I'd number. I was never given any paperwork or even general information on the hospital or program. So far, I really hate this place.
I just got through to my husband. It took five hours to "process" him last night. His duffel bag with extra clothing, etc. is missing or was stolen. He got breakfast this morning but nothing has happened other than that. No one had talked to him or checked on him. By the way, they had to try three phones for me to talk to him. They finally wheeled him out to the main phone because nothing was working.

My husband has been home for about a month now. The staff was able to retrieve his favorite shirt that had been put in the donation bin but other clothes were lost. His driver's license, medical insurance card, and debit card we're stolen while he was a patient at CP. We have since replaced them.
On the plus side, I found the financial situation was justified and I left on good terms with the staff about that. Our mental health insurance is limited and only in-patient care is covered in a couple of places in the state. I found that there is no coverage withing 50+ miles for therapy or counselling for anyone in our family. Not the hospital's fault and I wouldn't wish that job on anyone.
Please don't believe the negative reviews. I am a parent with no experience with mental health facilities but I had to admit my adult child here after a mental health crisis. I was extremely worried about the negative reviews I read and entertained every fear imaginable. Believe me, when this type of admission is happening, it's not a great time for a family. But despite my fears and reservations, the staff took wonderful care my child. They keep the patients very busy with activities and therapy and really work on getting them better. The staff is well qualified and really care about the patients. I was told that the food is very good and the rooms are comfortable. My child likes it there. Is it a four star resort? No, and it's not intended to be, but its safe, its clean, there's a nice new wing, the staff cares, and most importantly, the treatment helped immensely. Also, you are allowed to bring patients their own clothes as along as they meet certain criteria and can visit an hour a day also. The staff also kept me very well informed throughout the process. I am so thankful my child was admitted here and for everything they did to help our family.
Well I think this place has been rated unfairly, now hear me out I'm sure a lot of people that have gone to Centennial Peaks had a bad experience BUT I have been in and out of a ton of psych wards and I can tell you it was one the best one I've been to. Yes you are treated like a child, sometimes staff ignores you or is rude but the services are comparatively better than most places that hold you for mental health reasons. I was allowed limited access to internet, the food wasn't horrible sometimes good, we could order delivery, we were allowed to listen to music on devices without cameras, and the groups were generally helpful and consistent. Most psych wards don't offer any internet access, allow you to listen to music, have anywhere near decent food, and many don't have groups and if they do they are often canceled or held at random. The staff even though they could be stand offish at times were also much more polite and attentive than other places I've been.
these people at this facility are criminals and also abusive and incompetent. They almost killed my friend who was improperly brought there. I will not get into details so they cannot know who Im talking about but suffice it to sayL You CAN die here if you are admitted. Please do NOT allow anyone to bring someone here. They had to shut down their clinic in littleton due to patient abuse and medical malpractice and abuse. Seems this is a chain.
Instead of being treated for depression, I was treated like a criminal by the staff. Upon arriving at the facility subjected to an embarassing strip search in which one of the male nurses continuously questioned me about my feet. The following day, I was not permitted to use the restroom until I demanded an ambulance be called. In the end, I encountered some compassionate people here, but the majority were cruel and insulting.
My 14 year old son recently started battling depression with episodes of psychosis. His stay at Centennial Peaks was so perfect. He went in on a 72 hour hold for suicide. He immediately connected with the doctor and the rest of the staff. The medical staff told me that they are not set up for stays over a week, but they stuck with him in order to straighten out the medications and find what works for him. For each change in medication, they took the time to monitor him and make sure the med was effective and had no side effects. Every person I have dealt with there from the front desk to the nursing staff and caseworkers have been kind, caring, communicative, and I never felt that my calls were a burden. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this place and the people in it. For a parent who is new to the mental health world, this place is a God send.
My name is Julie. I recently left Centennial Peaks. My stay at Centennial Peaks was helpful and quite pleasant. I was treated with dignity and respect. The staff was professional and caring. Suffering from addiction and depression, wanting to kill myself is nothing to be proud about. The counseling provided throughout the day was extremely helpful. The food at Centennial Peaks was outstanding, they actually care about how the food looks and taste. They also provide each unit with ample snacks And drinks. There was not a single person who treated me anyway, other than respectful. Dr. Williams was caring and addressed my needs and concerns as any personal physician would, caring and honest. I did not feel as though they were after my money. To be honest, I had no money or insurance. They actually helped me through this horrible time and helped me to apply for medicaid for me, as well as my family. If I ever need help again, hopefully I will not, but if I do I would not hesitate to use Centennial Peaks again. It really is horrible to hear such negative things about a place that helped me so much through a really bad time. There were many who were in the same time as me who also feel as I do. Would I refer Centennial Peaks to someone who is suffering from addiction, depression, or any one who is hurting and contemplating suicide? I would most definitely refer them. Thank you Centennial Peaks.
