Watch out for their drivers. Had one pull right out in front of me from the parking lot on hwy 58 across from Columbus fire department nearly clipping car coming from other direction.

Recently started as a driver here and many things have changed that I appreciate.
1. Then changed there whole trying program at which the trainer learns more. The trainer is less stressed and we actually get to have fun with the trainer.
2. They have new management in there that knows how the drivers think. He is a fantastic vp.
3. They understand your problems and try to fix them immediately. Thank you to the helpful team at Celadon, I feel like I will make a career with them and as a successful driver.response / report this review -

Not for people leasing trucks. Also now owned by swift. When I worked there the stock plummeted and they were forcing owner ops loads instead of letting them grab their own. A lot of the times ended up with a $0 paycheck and breaking even. Not for a family life

Celadon is an okay company for those starting out, I've been here for more then a year and a half now before deciding to move to a local company. During my time with Celadon there have been many ups and downs, a lot of frustrating moments, but of note other then issues with the toll charges against my paycheck I didn't have to many issues with the company as a whole. Trucks are governed pretty low, most trucks are in pretty rough shape and on average 200k miles when moving into a unit. Don't have any experience with the lease/op side, and it has changed now that Quality has been dissolved, as I always say do your homework before signing on the dotted line. All around an okay company, you get what you ask for.

Worked here for 6 months. Non stop lies. Theyll tell you everything you want to hear to get you in a truck and as soon as you turn the key everything from there on out is a lie. They dont care what so ever about their drivers. Dispatch always has a horrible attitude non stop. The worst place ive ever worked for. Dont do it run while you can

Here's the deal with Celadon: When Steve Russell, the founder ran it, it was all about respect for everyone. Not just the driver's, but dispatch, safety , mechanics, literally everyone could expect a fair shake. Thenhe got ill, things went down hill. Then he died, and the whole place started to turn into Swift.
Drivers became a disposable commodity, and Quality Leasing burned thru them like cord wood. It became the name of the game to do everything possible to get a new ass in the seat of a lease truck, rape that ass for every dime they could and when they couldn't get one more penny out of it, they took the truck back, tossed away the driver and got a new ass in the seat.
That sort of business model is coming unraveled in 2017.

Liars!!!!! Came to this company with the intention to book my own freight. I find out the 2nd week here that the deadhead miles can't be more than 10% of the total miles. Example: 1,000 mile load miles means you can't deadhead over 100 miles. 500 mile loaded miles can't deadhead over 50, etc. Total garbage. I don't even have the unquality trucks that quality trucks has. This is MY OWN TRUCK THAT I OWN!!!!! When I talk to Luke, the Freight Rover app guy, he gives me a attitude saying its our loads and we can do what we want. Basically, saying screw you, we don't care about you!!!! I delivered my load in Monroe, MI which was a drop and hook. I dropped the load, and didn't hook to a empty trailer. I bobtailed home awaiting my next trucking adventure. I sent a message to dispatch that I will have the qualcomm removed and ship it back to them along with the plate, and permits and decals. There response was, no you have to come to Indy to have it taken out. TOO BAD!!!!! IT WILL BE SHIPPED BACK TO THEM!!!!!

I went into there lease program you sign for the truck first you get 17days before your first payment I can drive but what if someone comes in signs andbfails the drug screen or can't pass the road test then you are stuck with atruckbyou can't drive also when you go to pick out your truck they let you pick it out and drive it so what is the reason for the road test buy from what I understand Celadon is getting away from quality and starting there own lease I think that is a smart move it also took me two days to find a good truck

I was there for 5 years- they had good working trucks, flexible delivery schedules, the founder was a sweet man. Then I got sick on the road, had to take 9 mths off to recuperate, was relieved of my job- came back to work and the place had gone downhill for a driver. The founder passed away, the company had made some bad choices in buying companies, they push you beyond believing that you are a human being, not a machine. Good place to start out as a new driver if you want to team or get suckered into lease purchase.

Not a good experience, the company is a big joke, they pay you pennies and create ways to take that from you. Total scum! They even force you to give them a star to comment. Zero stars in my book. Don't waste your time at this dump! I found a much better job and quit, they said they terminated me. Anything to make themselves look good. Such haters with no class!
