Seeing is believing! I would not have believed that purchasing a used car could have been as easy, without pressure, without the back and forth to the "sales manager", and honestly conducted as I experienced at Cars Plus in Lenoir, NC today. I had tried to purchase a Subaru Forester from a couple of auto dealers in Charlotte, NC but the game playing and outright lie telling was disheartening. My girlfriend told me that if I wanted to get a honest deal on a car that I had to shop outside of Charlotte. I located a Subaru Forester on Cars Plus's website and decided to call before I made the trek up to Lenoir, NC. I spoke with Barry Laws. I mentioned the dismal experiences I had with Charlotte auto dealerships and wanted to know what extra fees would be added to the listed price of the Subaru Forester I was interested in purchasing. That's my biggest complaint with the local dealerships in Charlotte. They show you one price then when you are ready to buy they dump all of their made up fee amounts on the "agreed upon" price and now the cost is $2,000 more. Not at Cars Plus in Lenoir, NC. Barry told me that the price I saw was the price I'd pay. Of course the taxes, title and tags would be my responsibility which I had already assumed. I asked Barry Laws what would I need to do in order for him to hold the Forester until I could drive up the next day. Mr Laws said to just tell him I was coming and he'd hold the Forester until then. The next day I met Barry Laws at Cars Plus in Lenoir, NC. We chatted for a few minutes then he gave me the keys and invited me to test drive the car, alone. I was expecting him to ride along as they do in Charlotte, nope not here. So off I went driving the back roads putting the Forester through its paces. Then some highway miles. I drove back to a gasoline station and crawled under and over the car looking for any discrepancies. I found two. I thought I might have to use these minor issues to keep Barry from hiking up final price of the car. Once back at Cars Plus in Lenoir, NC Barry met me and asked how the drive was. No complaints, I said but I did point out the two minor malfunctions, a bad fog lamp and the rear window fluid dispenser did not operate. Barry went into action. He took the Forester over to their mechanics to have it repaired. Well, I thought there goes my negotiating leverage. Once in Barry's office he pulled out a spread sheet. Did some studying and then wrote on a sticky note the amount he would willing to sell the Forester. Not only was it less than the listed amount on their website but it included the cost of the title, tax and plate transfer fees. The final price was hundreds less than what I was expecting to pay. You could have knocked me over with a moon pie. I pulled out my checkbook and said, "I'll buy it". Cars Plus of Lenoir, NC maintains approximately 200 cars and trucks on their lot at any given time and these 200 vehicles are sold on a monthly basis. Their inventory change over is huge and many are sold to people like me from Charlotte, NC. It is well worth the drive to Lenoir to visit Cars Plus of Lenoir.

I enthusiastically recommend Cars Plus Lenoir. Barry Laws patiently and politely helped me work through the cars I was considering for purchase. When I decided what I wanted he looked for that type of vehicle, found it a few weeks later, and I purchased it with no hassles and no pressuring. A free CarFax was included. The car is fantastic, and a great fit for our family. Thank you CPL and Barry Laws!

We had an incredible experience at Cars Plus. We live 3 hours away and found a vehicle we were very interested in. After a handful of calls and speaking with Bud, we came to an awesome price and drove down to see the car. When we arrived, the car was off site because they were putting brand new tires on it -- which we did not expect at all! They told us it was slated to have it done and they went ahead and did it. We were so thrilled. When the car came back from the shop they took it around back and washed it before pulling it around for us to see. When we were looking at the exterior/interior they were finishing up drying it by hand. Needless to say we took it on a 5 minute test drive and were absolutely sold. Don't waste time at big dealerships -- this place is worth the drive. I am happy to give my business to a place like Cars Plus. When the time comes for my fiance to get a new vehicle we will be doing business with them. I honestly don't know if I'd go anywhere else. The car we purchased beat the price of the same car at big time dealerships in our area and was in pristine condition. If you want to deal with honest and kind people take your business to these folks!

This dealership deserves an A+ overall. No hidden fees. Upfront on all the details. Paperwork faxed to my bank. He Made this deal happen really in less than 24 hours.
