These folks are the PADI shop to dive with while in the Keys. As a Texan Floridians can come off a ittle moody but this operation is top notch. Very pleasant and interactive staff. Dive master was exceptional and went above and beyond to meet the skill set of those on board. Life long memories made with Capt Hook's right before hurricane Irma. Hope they make it through to dive with them again.

The reefs were BEAUTIFUL! Our Captains/ tour guides were funny, helpful and knowledgeable! They kept an eye on us and made sure we were all safe! I am so glad we chose Captain Hooks for our families snorkeling trip! It was by far the most affordable place and that didn't jeopardize the quality of our experience one BIT! Thanks guys!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ��

We just got done diving with Captain hooks and I have to say the guys on the boat made the experience so much better. It was by far the most fun laid back dive that I have done in the keys. I was not sure who to dive with after reading all the reviews and searching other dive charters but I am sure I made the right choice by choosing Captain hooks. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a fun knowledgeable dive charter. Thank you to all the keys on the boat for accommodating my wife and daughter with there snorkeling so I could dive with no problems or worries about them.

The sunset cruise was amazing even though it was too cloudy to see it. Captain Mike and DJ made sure we had an awesome experience. Thank you both very much. I will be sure to ask for them again. They made our cruise so much fun we will definitely be back.

Very honest people! Knowing conditions were not favorable, they catered to the new divers in our group. First dive had poor vis, DM went out of his way to find better location. Second dive was very enjoyable and made beginners very happy! Thanks for making their first ocean dive the best for conditions felt to you and your crew!

The best and most experienced diving establishment in the Keys. Excellent for any experience level, from a "discover scuba" one day course through much more technical diving. They are in constant contact with local boats to determine the best visibility among their 40+ dive spots, and their prices are competetive. Their staff is fantastic- welcoming, experienced, excited, and really able to conform to the needs and experience of the group. I had a particularly great time diving the Thunderbolt wreck with them.

I called them to ask them if they would be diving in a marine sanctuary for both dives, they assured me that they would. However, the second dive was in a fishing area, so, no surprise, there were very few fish left for us to look at.
Not to mention my friends who were snorkelling could not see anything at all because the water was too deep. Bringing scuba divers and snorkelers on the same boat is plain lazy, snorkelers need shallow reefs while scuba divers don't.
In the the first dive, the dive master told me to go down way before he did and he did not give me a place to wait for him as he was telling people where to go after I went down. I then saw someone go off which turned out to be people doing their own thing, not the dive master. So I could not find him or my friend for the whole dive and I was quite scared.response / report this review -

We are avid snorkelers but it was a windy week. We depended on Captain Hooks to let us know which day was best and they nailed it! The boat was the perfect size, equipment seemed good, and instructions were professional yet relaxed. Sombrero Reef was beautiful with 30-35 foot visibility, and Delta Shoals was the same. We got to watch the divers "tickle" lobsters and the staff was wonderful all the way around. I was very impressed by the way they tracked the snorkelers in the water, always keeping watch and being available--I could always look up and see someone on the boat looking my way. Can't wait to go back next year!

If you are needing to rent a boat DO NOT rent from this establishment. We rented an 18 ft Grady White. We were told that it would fit our needs for the week. However that was not the case. The boat would NOT reach a plain, had poor steering, and the live well did not work. When asked to receive an upgrade they told us they would not be able to transfer fees to a different boat unless they were able to rent out the boat they had given us. We told them the boat was a death trap and we were told there was nothing that could be done. We will NOT be doing business with establishment EVER again. We ended up getting a call from them shortly after I posted this review. They rented us a Bigger boat at no extra charge as well as a cooler full of ice. Now that I have to say is GREAT customer service. They truly have earned back my future business. THANKS Capt. Hook's job well done👍
