I took my bike in 3 times over the course of 6 weeks and the bike continued to have the exact same problem. The staff was very friendly and the service is quick, but I cannot say I'd recommend this bike shop.
In the market for a Bianchi bike. Walked in to take a look around, not a bad selection. Walked outside to stand in line for restuarant next door. Employee comes outside, pushes bike into crowd and twlls me to get the F*** out of the way. Very bad attitude and mis respresenatation of the bike community. I would never buy my bike from here.
Had a very nice experience at Capital Hill Bike. Top-notch customer service, in-and-out with no issues. Great prices. I will be going back.
Needed a box to ship a bike. They opened a new one and emptied it for me on the spot and gave me helpful advice for packing it up. Great shop!
Very poor service; I went there to purchase a bike; initially the sales person was quite helpful; after a test ride I came back to purchase the bike; the person who showed me the bike was in the back service room; he saw me but did not come out; after 30 minutes finally another person asked if he could help; I told him I wanted to buy the bike and have a kickstand added; I purchased the bike; it was taken to the rear to put on the kickstand; the clerk told the person I initially dealt with that i bought it and needed to go, asking to add the kickstand; the guy said in a loud voice "he bought it, I don't care then"; 15 minutes later he still would not install the kickstand, continuing to attend to whatever he was doing (which did not appear to be anything -- no other customer); after 45 minutes of trying to buy the bike and have the kickstand added I gave up, rescinded the transaction and left. The clerk who had rung up the transaction did not even apologize although I told him I her the other guy's comments about not caring. I have never offered to buy something in a store and essentially been refused.
Not knowing what to expect i brought my mountain bike in for service and had the best experience imaginable. There was one guy in the middle of the room performing a ballet of bike repairs and kinda the Dr. Phil approach of informing the owner how to take care of their bikes. I think his approach might ruffle the feathers of a lot of DC types but he is very effective, efficient, and experienced. And i was thoroughly entertained as i waited in line for his services. It felt like a bike repair guru at work. Awesome!! I love it. If your ego bruises easily i suggest you go elsewhere. And he fixed my bike perfectly!!!
