Had a great time here and had an amazing room for only $85!!!
Never stayed in a candlewood suites before but this place is extremely underrated. I'll definitely be looking into Candlewood in the future for off the highway overnights!

Very clean rooms, well maintained. Great beds and pillows. Plenty of dishes, coffee pot, full fridge with ice maker.

Very nice extended stay hotel. Good rates for a nightly visit using points. The driveway/entrance to get to the hotel is a little odd, but not bad. The hotel had many recommendations for breakfast and lunch spots nearby- that was nice. Have stayed here a couple times now and will be back.

The beds were really comfy and service was good. The room we stayed in had a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and mini stove. It really gives you a home like vibe.

Everything about this place is great! Kitchenette was great and was pre-stocked with free microwave popcorn. Super comfortable arm chair in our room. Ample parking and convenient location right off the highway. My only complaints are that the shower pressure wasn't very strong and there are no pizza places that deliver to the hotel (despite a placard in the room that says they do).

Clean and up to date. Friendly and helpful staff. Kitchenette room spacious. No pool or breakfast thou, cost is a little high given that.

Not only was the room beautiful, but it was so much more than my boyfriend and I expected! The service was so nice, comfortable with their guest and extremely funny! The breakfast area was small but very nice quality! Pet friendly, and very clean.

The rooms are nice but the beds are only okay - definitely not the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept on. The water pressure in the shower is unacceptable, the spray barely trickles out of the hotel's "water saving" shower heads. My shower time has been doubled due to the lack of water pressure and its easier to wash my hair under the running tub faucet. Having free laundry is very convenient but there are 2.5 washers (one is a stacked w/d) and 3.5 dryers (again stacked w/d) - doesn't make very much sense to me. Housekeepers are loud while cleaning the rooms - doors slamming and heavy stomping in overhead rooms. I travel across the U.S. A LOT, from NY to Miami to Michigan and all stops along the way. I have stayed in hotels, motels, and inns - this is the FIRST property I have ever stayed in that doesn't have a window in the room that can open. The option for fresh air is not available. I travel with a cat who lives to sit in an open window, the fact these windows don't open AT ALL is very inconvenient. Also, I just paid $1.25 for a can of Coke in the hotel market - horrendous markup, and I've stayed in NY. This property is acceptable for a quick stay but I am not impressed with the long term.

I wouldn't recommend staying here, the management is terrible and the general manager is racist as hell. I worked here for 5 months (as one of the highly recommended reception staff), and in that time I've witnessed him personally deny, chase out, or try to enforce policies with his staff that specifically target black customers. He had a no cash policy (that most of us at the front desk ignored) that he only enforced when it was a black person trying to check in. I witnessed him go up to a guest's room at 9am (checkout isn't until noon) and physically pound on the door in order to chase him out because his card declined and he happened to be black. He even had me call the police and refused to allow the guest to stay longer even after he had successfully paid for his room (his bank didn't transfer his money on time).
The hotel is fine if you're white and need a place to stay, but if you have to deal with any of the management it quickly loses all appeal.response / report this review -

Very clean room and hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. I loved the kitchenettes in the room, it was so nice to do some light cooking instead of having to eat out at every meal.

I should have liked this place more. I can see what they are trying to do but it just needs a bit more polish to make it great. Everything metal at that place needs a good shot of oil: doors, elevator, etc. they all squeak. Elevator and cable is slow as hell.
Other than that, it is a nice place in a good location. Room was clean and somewhat spacious with a kitchen. Front desk staff was fine.response / report this review
