Granted, I've only ever been to one church camp, but after going to Camp Allegheny, I'd never dream of going anywhere else. Everything about it is unforgettable: the people, the place, the experiences. I went countless times, but the three weeks I've gone this year and last year have been the best times of my life.

The parts of camp I liked best are riding horses, the good food and the worship in their Camp Center. Lots of fun activities to do.

Camp Allegheny, a camping and retreat center, is a fantastic place run by a staff always striving for excellence. Because of its location in the beautiful Laurel Highlands of Western Pennsylvania, children, youth, college students and adults come to relax, renew and rejoice. I have personally experienced the power of the mountaintop and heartily encourage all to consider this site for retreats, camping, and other events.

I was a camper at Camp Allegheny for 7 years and have since returned as a volunteer counselor and dean. This camp is a wonderful place to experience God in the beauty of His creation. There are so many activities and the staff is very well trained and prepared.

My daughter absolutely loves this camp. The staff are all very friendly and were very engaging with the kids. This will be her 3rd year going. Not only that, but she's 3rd generation coming to this camp. My mom went here, so did my sister and I as well as both our children. The previous years she went to pony/swim camp. Now that she's 12 she finally will be able to ride the horse's.

My son went here and the Salvation Army states that the parent is required to provide the camper's medical card. They said that for in case the camper would need to be treated medically. Well my son came home with a rash of small bumps all over his face and his skin looked burnt and was peeling on his ears and nose. He told me it was burning and itching and he told them and they didn't have any regard for his issue and didn't see him at all. I'm not happy about this at all. What happened to requiring the medical card. I think it was simply a verification of knowing someone have insurance.
