Our experience here was sub par at best. After or server too our order, we only saw him one other time. It took almost an hour for us to get our food. When the food arrived I was given the wrong meal, and was told I could wait for who knows how long to fix it. Would not recommend.

I absolutely love this place, me and my family have visited here for years. We love the manager and the staff there. The food was great, please get the Collard Greens, they were awesome. This place is the best thing in Callaway i will return for.

We ate at the Country Kitchen. The service was excellent and the food was at usual very good.
I had checked the web to check the closing time and it was listed as 9 PM.
Shortly after 8, I noticed that there were customers at only one other table and the servers were obviously busy checking all the tables, straightening chairs, etc. So I asked the closing time and was told it was 8PM.
We apologised and left the dining area. As we were leaving, I stopped at the front desk to ask a question.
The clerk was on the other side of the desk talking to another employee. I waited for a few minutes and she didn't turn around.
I said "Excuse me for a minute."
She looked over her shoulder and turned back to her conversation.
I waited a while longer and was totally ignored, I then left.
As I am local, I will be back many times, however if I were a visitor, I would never return.

My family and I decided to have dinner here after visiting Callaway gardens.big mistake. We stood at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before even being seated despite the fact there were empty tables everywhere. The server came and took our drink order. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. She took our food order and we waited another 45 minutes for the food. When the food arrived, it was barely edible. I had a chicken sandwich that had absolutely no flavor and the lettuce and tomato were soggy and wilted and the fries were cold. My mother ordered chilli which was so nasty she took one bite and sent it back. To top it off, the food is overpriced for the quality and quantity. The server wasn't particularly rude, but she seemed like she just really didn't care. Once the checks came, we discovered there was an 18% gratuitiy added to the check.for nasty food and poor service. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat if you're ever in the area.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Callaway Gardens in January of 1988 and have eaten periodically and many times at the Country Store for the past 29 years. There is always a great view, good food and great service. It is my wife's favorite place to eat breakfast on the weekend.
