Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. Service has gone down slightly since we first went a couple years ago.
Great food. Went on a Monday Night at about 730PM and their was one other party there so not a lot of noise or crowd. Restaurant was very clean and decorated very well. Wait staff was very attentive and polite. Food was amazing had the bacon wrapped shrimp Lamb and Tenderloin and I would give them all top stars. Plan to go again. But in a few months after I save up some money as it is on the spend side but expected for that style of restaurant.
I've been to this restaurant twice: once for my birthday when I wanted to pamper myself a bit, and once for their $7 Tapas Tuesday special. Both times I was impressed with not only the food, but also the atmosphere. The service there is great, and everyone is very attentive (but not in an annoying, hovering way--just as much as you need). The first time I went there, the server told me, "this is your table, and for as long as you want it. No one will try to hurry you out." And really, everything about Cafe Madrid follows that same philosophy of making your dining experience all about you.
The food really is excellent. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's a price that reflects the quality of what you are offered.
If I could afford to, I would eat here much more often. Which is why I love the Tapas Tuesday, because it made it so that I could be comfortable eating there, even on a regular old weeknight, and nobody made me feel uncomfortable about just ordering tapas. I hope it's a special they bring back soon!
Two lunch experiences: Pros- attentive and friendly staff, ample choices, delicious food, lovely ambiance. Cons- served hot main course before were done with app and salad. There was no need to rush us. Wait staff at least needed to ask customer's permission to serve it prematurely. Main course also should be served with rolls. Side veggie options would be nice. Other issue involves parking. Since a different entrance is used for the lunch crowd (opposite evening entrance), they must put at least one disabled parking space closest to the door utilized for lunch. Overall rating: B-. As an upscale restaurant (with prices to match), it should be almost flawless. Lunch for two, no alcohol $56.
Visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday and it was one of the finest dining experiences of my life. The decor is beautiful and a great setting for a special occasion or a romantic date. The staff greeted us smiles and we were seated quickly since we reserved a table for our group, though that particular night wasn't especially busy. We asked the server to recommend a wine to pair with our food and it was the best wine I've encountered; though I have to admit that my exposure is still relatively limited. The appetizers were exquisite. The entrees were delicious, and the deserts delightful. The prices are certainly higher than most chain restaurants, but the experience is on a whole different level.
This is the best restaurant! Food is amazing, people are awesome. Great atmosphere.
We went to Café Madrid on Christmas Eve, and it was fantastic. We were a party of 8 since my parents and sister were in from Chicago and joining us. We were seated quickly and had the menu explained to us. the food was fantastic, as was the wine.
The inside is beautifully decorated and the food is amazing. My husband lived in Spain for a while and said cafe Madrid's paella reminded him of what he was fed while he was there. The creme brulee cake was delicious. I loved how they put a different twist on the dessert.
Excellent cuisine. Excellent service. This is a dining experience, not fast food. It is Spanish, not Mexican. A very European feel. Very enjoyable and time well spent.
Awesome Paella. Make sure to make a reservation and ask for Paella 24hr in advance.
My husband and I love going here . It's our "date night" go to! The appetizers are pretty amazing . The food here has been pretty consistent . They have some pretty talented chefs in the kitchen . As far as the customer service A+ ! I think this restaurant deserves a visit , see for yourself !
My Fiance and I had the best experience!!! Our waiter was amazing and very personable! The whole staff was attentive to our needs for water and grabbing the check. The food was to die for! The Marsala chicken was the best we have ever had! I am not sure who it was, but because I cannot eat the cheese sauce on the beef tenderloin he brought me a dish of Port reduction, I believe is what he called it, and it was amazing! The fact that someone thought of that for me was the best and I couldn't have been more appreciative! We loved the experience!
Great atmosphere. Authentic food. Nice staff. My only complaint was the layout. I was seated in a corner, which would have been fine, but there was decorative furniture in what should have been my sitting space. The paintings behind and next to me were beautiful, but made the space feel claustrophobic, and I was constantly worried about bumping the paintings mere inches from either of my elbows.
This is a good place for authentic Spanish food. I had Paella and Spanish tortilla. Both were excellent and on par with what I've had in Spain. The service was good, the people friendly. I will definitely come back here again.
