  This location has been closed for years, sadly. Their other location on Sheepshead Bay Rd. is inferior, but still worth a visit.

  A "safe" attempt at Ukrainian food. Pelmeni and vareniki as well as their potatoes with mushrooms are quite good. The rest of the dishes are just so-so.

  I am so sad! This was one of my favorite places in Brighton beach. The shav was wonderful, the dumplings juicy, light and perfect. The short ribs.the Ukrainian sausage..
  What happened? Ie been 2 times in the last year and both times the older lady sat in the dark and told us they are closed. Vacation maybe? Either way I guess I'm saying goodbye to my shav.

  I really like the varenikis here. They're basically just pierogies, with different fillings inside.
  
  It's a super casual place.
  
  Oh, and Anthony Bourdain ate here. You know it must be good!
