I liked the variety of BBQ sauce. My daughter and I split burnt ends and brisket and both choose two sides. I liked the cheesy corn. The burnt ends were fatty. The price was reasonable for BBQ. The atmosphere was nice. The service was fine. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't busy.
Yep - real good. Did the royal platter, split with my wife. Great way to taste the main BBQ foods they have, all delicious. Definitely recommend. Also, they’re doing a steady business, but you don’t have to wait in a long line or anything ridiculous.
Their burnt ends are the best thing I tried. Ribs are great too.
Good clean BBQ! Reasonable prices considering portions size. My favorite is the burnt ends or brisket as far as meat goes. Their sauces are more southwest than KC - making for some unique and refreshing flavors. They have outdoor seating and occasional live music. Staff is lively and engaging, good atmosphere and good food!
If consistency is something you like when you go out for BBQ, then come to Burnt Ends!! I have been here numerous times and have never had a bad experience. Seriously, come try it out!! I do competition BBQ and this is honestly one of my favorite places in the area.
Burnt ends and sausage are fantastic. Great smoked wings. Fries are great when they're cooked a little extra. Other sides are fine. Friendly staff, good atmosphere.
Very tasty BBQ at a pretty good price. Had the 2 meat platter of Burnt Ends and Pulled Pork. Tender and juicy and flavorful. Also included 2 sides - had the baked beans (nice and mildly spicy) and a piece of corn bread with sweet butter. Handful of crunchy pickles were included as well. All for less than $15. I'll be back!
Quick great BBQ. Brisket is always very good. Burnt Ends range from good to great. Beans and Cheesy Corn are very good. Not a fan of the Potato Salad or the Cole Slaw. Fries are usually pretty good, but occasionally a bit limp. My friends who are into ribs say they are very good and I have heard good reviews on the chicken. The service is always friendly and prompt and the place is alway spotless.
I've given a bunch of bad review so I have to put a good one somewhere.
Burnt Ends is pretty good. Granted, with no offense intended Midwestern BBQ is not as good IMO as southern. Kind of like football. I think there's something in the mind-deadening humidity that makes better athletes and cooks.
But, BE is pretty good. I think it's a little pricey which is why it doesn't have 5 stars but it's consistently good. And it's not bad- there's another place down the street which is and has skimpy portions for more money. The dining experience is OK not great. You get a decent amount of privacy and they make an effort. There's one guy there on weekends that does a great job w. customer service.
Went in to order for take.out at 6:35 p.m. they were busy (but still had empty tables)and said it would be about 20 min. Came back at 7:02, didn't get food until 7:10. Man who ordered a sandwich only ahead of us was still waiting after we got our food. The meat had good flavor, but the potatoes wedges and onion straws didn't taste fresh and I had asked for jalapeños and there were none.
We went here on a Saturday for a quick lunch. The line moves quickly and the lady taking orders was very helpful in choosing what's good. This barbecue is not necessarily the best ever, but it's actually tops some of the other long-standing places.
Was very awesome BBQ. Only reason not 5 stars was simply cause had to hunt down silverware sine you wait for food. Granted silverware is by drinks you don't think about it. Might as well bring with food plus sauce or have cashier remind people about sauce station and silverware. The person who brought found was great as she did go grab the stuff when we asked. I don't have receipt but I think I ordered a cookie but didn't get it. Not certain if paid for it or not. Brisket was excellent, onion strings awesome and Mac N Cheese was very good and I am strange typically only like the blue box. Highly recommended and will be back!!!!
Came here on a whim because the Cheesecake Factory had an extremely long wait, and I'm SO HAPPY we did. I had the Ham Dinner with Mac and Cheese and Baked Potato Salad and everything was absolutely delicious. There was no wait, the staff was very friendly and kind, and the manager was polite. I will definitely be coming back, and with a few more friends!
This was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. Since being from out of town we didn't know what a delight it would be. My husband had the lamb and I had the filet. Both cooked perfectly! The overall experience was good. It definitely is a place for special occasions as it is pricey.
