I had service work done yesterday and they did an AMAZING job. Very nice, great people to work with and very affordable for what I had done! Highly recommend them!!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE RIP OFF!!!! Wish I could give 0 stars or a negative review. Rented a car from this company for 4 days and it cost me $350.00. I only went here because a friend recommended in and I was in a rush to get to my Grandfathers funeral and didn't think to check around for prices. Did some calculations after I saw what they had charged me when I returned and found out it would have been HALF! YES HALF the price to rent from Hertz or Enterprise. Do your self a big favor and drive a block down the road to Enterprise or Hertz and save yourself some money. Also the manager will not even speak to you on the phone, horrible customer service on top of ridiculous prices. Like I said RENTERS BEWARE!!!

Purchased an F-150 from Dan and the crew at Budget. They are easy to work with, and help you find what you want in a vehicle. We looked at numerous options, and found the truck that fit my needs. Dan had it detailed and it looked flawless. I will send my friends and family to Budget when they are in need of a rental or purchasing a car. Great business, great people!

I went into the store on 5/30/17 and reserved a 16' truck to help a family member move on 6/3. The rates in the store were higher than what was quoted on line, but since we were working on a short time frame, I wanted to go into the store and ensure the truck was available. I was assured the truck would be available on Sat 6/3 at 8:00.
On Thursday nite (36 hours before the move) Budget called me and told me that "Corporate" had not sent them enough trucks and therefore they could not honor our reservation. They would not substitute a different truck (again "Corporate" wouldn't allow them) and said we were free to check other companies in the area to see if one was available. I never dealt with "corporate"all of my interactions were done in the office with the specific employees there, so this "corporate" excuse is just thatan excuse.
We did find another company to rent from, who also told us that they have Budget customers almost every weekend, who are scrambling to find a truck that they reserved thru Budget, but Budget reneged on the agreement 36 hours before the reservation. I guess overbooking at the Council Street office is standard operating procedure. I wish I'd have know that before I put my trust in them honoring our reservation.
The 2 women at the front desk acted like it was no big deal and didn't care (even recommended) that we take our biz somewhere else.
We will NEVER do business with Budget again and I'd warn anybody who is renting a moving truckBEWARE. You won't know until 36 hours before your reservation if you'll really get one of the overbooked trucks or not.response / report this review -

This was by far the easiest shopping and buying experience I've ever had. I found a vehicle online that I wanted to see and set an appointment. When I came in for my appointment, I took the vehicle for a test drive, traded in my vehicle, got approved for financing, and bought a new to me vehicle in about an hour and a half. There was absolutely no pressure from Dan to make a quick decision and he disclosed everything I needed to know up front. We didn't even need to haggle over pricing on my new purchase or my trade in value. I felt like Dan was honest and just super easy to work with. And, I love my new purchase as well.

My husband and I purchased a car from Budget in August. We loved the hassle free atmosphere and how smooth they were with the paperwork. Would definitely go back in the future!

I have rent 15 passenger vans almost every summer for our church. This year is the worst experience. This year I did at CR location instead of Iowa City. Not only the rate is higher ($10 more daily,) it is easy to be charged an extra day due to their weekend rule. The service is not good neither. My first reservation was messed up. Never have a person to answer you question patiently. My recommendation is that try Iowa City location first when you need to rent, It will saves you money and also enjoy the better service.

Bought a 2014 Ford Taurus from Dan in July of 2016. We were looking at several lots around Cedar Rapids for a good deal, however we ended up driving though the Budget lot after hours on Friday night. We were suprised to find the Taurus we really liked. We went back the next day, and found a no-pressure, buy it if you want experience. The no-haggle price was about what you'd want to pay without the intense dealership-style negotiations. Good experience overall, and not the typical "hours of waiting on the dealership" to shoehorn you through all their departments and sales areas. Dan is straight forward and honest, and I would recommend anyone to buy from Dan.
