I hate hamburgers. At Bub's I are the whole pound of hamburger as if I had never at one! It melts in your mouth and the flavor that they can pack in their burgers is just amazing. The marshmallow dipping cream for French fries was surprisingly AMAZING. Love this place!

Very likely the best burger I've ever eaten. I completely disagree with the reviewer who disparaged the bun. The bun really makes the burger complete: a unified whole. The bun is substantial enough to soak up all the wonderful burger juices without becoming a soggy mess.
We got the elk burgers and thought the taste and texture were fantastic. The waffle fries were excellent and made on the spot. I admire the place for taking an item (the Burger) and taking it up to the next level and beyond and not try to do everything.
Service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and helpful without the attitude you get in a college town from kids who think they're too good to work.response / report this review -

Had a great lunch, service was great, server was great, elk burger delicious and salad with chicken was delicious. Enjoyed samples of potato soup and chili too! These VOL fans will come back when we're back in town.

Bub's is a interesting place to go and has great burgers. A tad pricey for lunch. Fries, average burger & soda 2 people with tip $30.00.

Super friendly and fast service. Great burgers, fair prices, but 4 stars for the buns. They lacked flavor and did not add much to the burger. Be sure to ask your server for the burger specials and don't miss the sweet potato waffle fries!

My chocolate malt was hands down the best I've ever had! Too bad the beef weiner was so salty. At least the chile saved the bun!

Creative and delightful take on the standard burger. The malts are absolutely fantastic. They do a good job with their elk burgers which are delicious and their staff understands that elk dries out quicker than beef.

The food tastes amazing. The burgers were cooked perfectly. I got the elk burger and it was great. The onion rings taste good and they are crispy. They weren't greasy like at other restaurants.

I had an elk burger with bacon and it was delicious. The burger was seasoned and cooked well. Our server was prompt and attentive. And the bill was well worth the cost. I will definitely eat here again.
