We were here for fall fest. Had a wonderful time. There was so much to do.
Great place for skiing and snowboarding. Trails may be a difficult. But great place all in all.
I love it. It has good food. Good lodges and i met a lot of friends there. Its a friendly place
Im new to the area, but love coming here. Went skiing a few times last winter and had a lot of fun. The fall ski lift ride was fun too. So many beautiful leave colors!
Bristol mt is fun for the family just about all year round. Skiing in the winter, ropes courses in the summer, as well as roseland waterpark which is owned and operated by the same great folks! The fall rides and festival they have every year is growing in size and popularity and is really great for a fun day with your family of all ages.
The longest chairlift ride of my life. I had to channel my inner "Bob Wiley" and baby step it to the top. I especially loved when the workers stopped the ride and my chair was rocking.I've never prayed that hard in my life. Fun times and very nice employees. :)
Bristol offers about 8 or 10 different runs varying in difficulty. If you're an intermediate to an advanced skier, you won't find the black or double black challenging, only one run has moguls. The perk is that it's an easy day trip from Rochester (45 minute drive), so it makes skiing more accessible if you can't get out West or to the North East. They offer a season pass, so if you live nearby you can make skiing part if your weekly routine. Place is very kid friendly and it's fun to see all the high school ski teams race!
They didn't do so well with snow conditions last year, not sure if they even had 100 days. But that seems to be a problem all over upstate NY.
Trails of the same skill level are grouped together. There is no long trek from the lodge to the ski lifts; easy to get from one side of the mountain to the other. :-D.
Bristol is always good for an afternoon, especially when the snow is good all all the terrain and glades are open. They do a good job making snow too. Lounge/restaurant has great food. But it's kinda pricey for the size of the mountain, its not really big enough to he interesting for more than 3 or 4 hours and lift tickets are just as costly as real mountains like Whiteface or Killington
They do an excellent job making snow; we can count on using season passes even if the winter is warmer than usual. The ski instructors are helpful and encouraging, and it's a good resort for someone with no experience to try out a new sport. There are a good variety of trails for those of all levels. The lodges are showing their age and are not always warm enough for spectators.
I'm from out of state so when I was told we were coming to a little local mountain I was a little suspicious. Man was I wrong. Very short lift lines, great variation of trail types, and great night skiing. Getting 3 people in for $75 bucks (YOU DO NEED A MILK BOTTLE TOP!!, but they sell them in the lodge if you forgot) was incredible value.
Definitely deserves a return visit.
I like Bristol Mountain because it's local, low-key and down-to-earth. They offer a variety trail difficulty as well as free style. They keep the trails nest and well kept. The staff is friendly too and the food is good. Great for school trips, family trips or any other skiing/snowboarding trip.
