BUMBLING BUREAUCRATS

VOTE OUT Brevard tax collector LISA CULLEN AND HER INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES. So sad the incompetence in the Indian Harbor Beach branch. I just wanted to renew the driver's license I have had in this county for 40 years. Same address for 40 years. I waited for nearly an hour. When it was my turn I approached the clerk handed her my valid driver's license with my PICTURE on it, my doctor's letter with my name and address clearly written and stating he had tested my eyes and they were fine, my social security card with my name and number. Guess what? The absolute idiots wanted at least two utility bills showing my name and address. I laughed! Really? Did they think an 80 year old was trying to scam an address that I have had for 40 years straight? Could they not just google my name and see the address on the Brevard County property tax collector website and/or Brevard county property appraiser. It would have taken less than a minute to check. . NOPE!

They said Go home and get us two utility bills and your birth certificate and return and wait another hour to be served by the idiots that were too lazy to serve me in the first place. Then charge me $48.00 plus and additional $6.50 service fee! Adding insult to injury.

Forget this place! Just renew online where all you need is your last name, address, SS number, and or your drivers license number! No birth certificate, NO utility bills and one valid credit card. Price $50.00 which included a $2.00 convenience fee. Mailed directly to your home address on file in less than 5 days.

For all of you at the Indian Harbour Beach DMV. Shame on you lazy bureaucratic bunglers who are so committed to outdated policies and procedures you have long ago forgotten who it is you are supposed to be working for.

Renewed my car registration today, and I just had to find a way to give a review for awesome service!
I was in an out faster than I've ever been at the DMV, or any other tax collector's office. The place was clean, in order, and they had a very methodical process to knocking out different issues. I didn't catch her name, but the woman I sat with at the counter was extremely nice and it was a pleasure having her help. I've never had that experience at any government office, nor most private businesses for that matter.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually enjoyed registering my car here today!

This is my second visit to the Indian Harbour Beach Office and I couldn't be more impressed. They not only know how to do things the best way possible, they work as fast as possible to get you out of there. Thanks for your hard work!
