When I'm in Boston I visit the Beerworks. Been going there since the early 90's. Still awesome beer and food. Across from Fenway Park. Packed on game days.
Bartenders Trevor & Bri were AWESOME! Justin, however was a COMPLETE DOUCHE! We were short 1 chair at the bar & attempted to grab one from one of the hightop tables just a few feet away. Bartender Justin acted as if we were stealing them, rudely demanded we put them back & stand to eat/drink at a half empty bar. I then walked to the other end of the bar where Trevor & Bri politely told me grabbing another chair was fine. Worked out well because Bri got our large tip & not the chair Nazi Justin. Justin also spoke very rudely to Bri right in front of us as we ate our lunch, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. If you dont know how to talk/treat people Justin, you shouldnt work in the bar/restaurant field Bro. 4 Starsif it wasn't for the rude, unprofessional, chair Nazi Justin it would have been 5!
Both beer and food served at "right next to Fenway" prices, but the food is really really sub par. Don't get it. The beer isn't awful, but it's over priced. And don't get drinks. It's barely a drink.
Went on a weeknight around dinner time in November (6 - 7 pm). It was empty. Everything was great!
It took a while for the first server to come to our table, but after that the ordering and food & drink delivery went as normal. The atmosphere was energetic. The beer was great and everyone loved the food. It's a great place to enjoy a pregame meal!
The server was 10 minutes from seating to drink + food order. We placed both b/c we we're on a schedule for a Fenway Field tour. The waiter got the drink order wrong and did not listen to our teenage daughter's order. He guessed and sent out children's chicken fingers. That was insult on injury. Only giving two stars b/c the food was good. The manager offered to comp the whole check but we said just the daughter's meal would be fine. He then brought the check comping the drinks. Listening to customers is not a strong point here.
Decent beer and vibe, but SUPER crowded during a Sox game. They should consider reducing capacity a touch.
Their beer is unique and delicious. Great place if you're hanging around Fenway!
Pretty much every beer I had was great. Gets really crowded before Red Sox games so just be prepared. The food was good, not outstanding but definitely good
Awesome place for beer. My friend and I tried 5 'flights' to get a taste of all the different beers offered here and we were not disappointed!
I am a fan of beer works. I do wish they would have the porter more often. But their beers are well made. Plus they have Cider Jack if you are interested in a hard cider. The food is great bar food. Good place to hang out with friends. If you want to talk with 4 or less people, ask for a booth.
