Stayed in the cabin there at the campgrounds staff was excellent campgrounds were well taken care of had a great time
Great, clean amenities and great store with great views and activities make this a great place for a mountain getaway! Highly recommend nearby Grandfather mountain as well!
Honest evaluation:
1. No cable. Yes, I am at a campground, however; I am in an RV. I want tv for news and weather.
2. Poor wifi.
3. No mountain view.
4. Not easy for large RVs to maneuver.
5. $45 a night to have electric and water.
Shaded spots, but small. Carry tire levelers as most spots slope downward. Pool is very small. Employees seemed nice. Several full timers in the campground.
Great getaway. My boys and I enjoyed the quiet quaint little mountain. The goats and donkeys were adorable. The owners kept the campground clean. We stayed during the 4th and it was still very quiet and peaceful. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Very small camp sites, no cable. Satellite didn't work. Bath houses very dated. If it rains be prepared for your camp spot to be flooded. Not my best pick of KOA's.
Can't beat the atmosphere. Nice campground and super nice people. Will definitely be back.
Well I tried to give it 4.5 but guess I can't. First time posting a review. I'm actually still here leaving Wed morning. I really like it . People very friendly. The heated pool was a bit chili at first but as you got acclaimated to it it was very refreshing. Had my son and my 2 grandkids stay with me Friday night thru Sunday . I had a pull thru. Site k12. Easy to get into etc. A little slanted for picnic table etc. But site for 5th wheel was pretty level. Decent playground . Has Mini golf but never tried that. No trees near my site which normally I like . But so far very happy with it.
Staff was friendly! Restrooms were clean but dated. Grounds were not maintained. Putter Golf should have been shut downthat bad..no ball pads and nothing was numbered.all greens were uneven and it was in another chain link fence which is unattractive. Small swimming pool with one umbrella table and approx. 9 chairs total. Landscape had too many figurinesand the pond behind was murkey with goats and donkeys running around behind a chain link fence. We stayed one night and left for another site the next daydepressing. Shocked because the ones on Undercover Boss were immaculate and in tip top condition! Won't go back. Only leaving this review because I felt it needed to be said. Neighboring RV's had the same opinions.
Joanne always makes our stay great. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
