The coffee is good, but I think it's overrated just because it is a local company. I've been in A Lot of places that roast their own beans and there is always one consistent amenity The Aroma of roasting coffee beans, excpet this place which promotes that they roast their own beans.

A huge problem I have is that the to-go cup sizes are half the size of Starbucks. That is just ridiculous.

Hands down my favorite coffee place. I really like the hipster vibe, and always get polite service. This is not a grab and go coffee place, orders are handcrafted and take time, set your expectations. The baristas are well trained as are the coffee roasters.

Cool atmosphere. Great coffee. Nice place to meet with friends or just to do homework. Sometimes the music is really loud but its all good.

First time. It will be difficult to return. I ordered an almond milk latte and my body is telling me it was cow's milk. It's a very specific reaction.

Cashier was innatentive as well, had to repeat details of my order.

Atmosphere was nice, coffee tasted good.

Would have liked additional sweetener choices, such as agave. I get it if artificial sweetener is off theme.

I love a coffee shop with a variety of seating options and where the COFFEE IS THE MAIN FOCUS. The Mocha Cappuccino delivered a nice, creamy drink while a Macchiatto was sweetened with just a dash of foam. Both were NOT THE BEST WE'VE HAD, but it was still up there. Their Cold Brew and Iced Coffee also delivered great flavors without getting very bitter. Their menu also promoted HOMEMADE SYRUPS which I think helps with the great flavors of their drinks. Although we never got to try it, there's also tea, hot chocolate, little pastries, beer and wine available. There was seating for small groups hanging out, others chilling at the counter, hiding behind laptops, or enjoying the weather outside. I also LOVE THE FEEL OF THIS LOCATION with its brick walls, cozy furniture, and large chalkboard menu wall.

Bold bean is the best definition of local scene. There coffee is in my opinion the best in Jacksonville. Probably because all of the coffee is imported and roasted in house. They also have a lot local craft beers on tap from local brewery's.

Bold bean also regularly has live local musicians and artist, and groups.

As a first time visitor.. place has a great atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt as well as willing to help me decide the kind of coffee I wanted. Ordered a quad espresso and yumm..rich creamy flavor with just the right amount of bitterness.. will be back for sure!

Bold Bean Riverside is a fantastic coffee shop. They make some of the best coffee beans in town and have a plethora of brewing methods at their disposal, all which produce a fantastic cup of coffee. The shop is comfortable and hip, a great place to either get some work done at the bar or catch up with a friend at a table.

Everything feels local here and it's great. They open a little Late for the EARLY EARLY commuters to work but that would be my only complaint. They have beer tea as well as great coffee. Very hipster feel.

Really cool place. Has a sort of campus feel to it with an urban vibe. Coffee is amazing. I'm a straight dark roast guy and this place can make a mean cup. Feel free to stop in and hang for a bit. Oh they have good craft beer also. Can't really beat that.

This is an awesome coffee shop! Cool vibes, great drinks, friendly staff, inclusive bathrooms. I would give them five stars except there is no recycling, and with the number of plastic cups being handed out, that seems like an important thing to change!

I've been coming here on and off for a few years now. It's got a very nice Brooklyn feel to it.
Although, I did like the decor a lot more way back in late 2013.
The café now looks nice, but it used to look so much better.

Is there any morning one morning and had coffee and hot chocolate got there rape before they opened they actually opened a few minutes ahead of time. And then apologize because stuff wasn't out right away. Which is fine by me if you open early I'm not going to expect you to have everything out early.I would highly recommend this place to anybody very nice atmosphere and the employees are very friendly.

This location of Bold Bean is usually packed with computer users and readers, but it is such a lovely place you can't really blame them. The coffee is excellent and they serve local desserts and beers too. There is outdoor seating out back and front. They have a small game selection too.
