  Cap Ice isn't a terrible rink for youth hockey, but it's absolutely atrocious if you're there as a paying customer to watch the Madison Capitols. Unless you're sitting between the blue lines, it's impossible to see anything. I can't stress enough how awful it was to watch a game there from section 112. The lobby is way too small for the crowd they draw. Really the only nice thing I can say about it is that at least the bathrooms don't smell like sewage anymore. The Capitols should have moved to Hartmeyer like they originally planned to do.

  This WAS the worst ice rink in the state. Not any more. Fresh paint. Lots of upgrades. Now proud of where my kid plays hockey!

  One rink is serviceable for hockey. The other is a practice rink. They don't have drinks or food in the morning. They are understaffed. There is one person for ice care and concessions. You can count on having a rough experience if you are the first scheduled event for the day. We will avoid scheduling hockey events here

  It's not the best hockey venue in terms of sightlines and actual seats instead of bleachers would have been appreciated but everyone at the venue was great. As a visiting fan I had an ongoing feud with the Madison mascot, which was fun, and even better, the visiting Fighting Saints won, so it was a good experience. The only reason I won't be back this season is because the schedule won't allow it but I hope to return next season.

  The Madison Capitols were fun to watch, but the seats were all wooden bench and extremely uncomfortable. Like bring a pillow for your butt and where shipped comfy pants to add as much cushion. Didnt make it through the whole game before we had to leave because of this. Especially not comfortable to a pregnant lady.

  Twice this month I have showed up for open skate only to find out the calendar wasn't updated and there wasn't open skate. It's not that hard to manage a calendar. If you can't even tell people when you're open or closed, then you shouldn't be managing a business.

  Good tournament, frozen everything. Inside of the locker rooms there is literally frozen ice on the walls from our breath, somebody got frostbite on their feet while playing because the ice was too cold. Just was turned off, cost inside than outside.
