I'm not normally part of the contingent that gets moist for Blue's Egg. It's always so crowded and the food is a bit pricey for what you get.

But of the several times I've been here, this visit was by far the best. From the use of Yelp to cut the time in line to superior service and a fantastic Croque Madame with a pancake (see picture), I'm moving towards joining Team Blue's Egg.

The only negative was the way our server hovered over our table at the end of the meal, strongly suggesting we vacate the table.

My wife and I love this place as well as the other restaurants (Maxies). We try to eat organic and locally sourced foods, and it's so nice that Blue's Egg has such great options! I highly recommend it, but there can be a wait (usually at least 25 min) so use their recommended app to put yourself in line before you get there. Also, The monkey bread is amazing!

Arrived Sunday morning around 10:30. The outside and inside was crowed with people waiting to be seated. The wait was 1 hour 15 minutes but if you hang out near the bar it's every man for himself. I ordered the crab cake. I was very pleased. Lots of crab, not greasy , poached eggs perfect and greens tasty.

Blue's Egg is one of my favorite brunch spots! They've got fantastic food that is absolutely worth the wait.
Pros: Good menu variety, excellent quality dishes, coffee while you wait & reasonable prices.
Cons: No reservations (as far as I know) = long wait to be seated.

Nice place. Good coffee. I decided to order stuffed hash browns with ham. Well I think they made a mistake, no ham to be found.
Searched for it. No ham.
Ate hash browns anyway. They are good either way. Stuffed or not. Left a card about the ham-less hash browns.

Staff is very friendly, and the monkey bread is amazing. Similar to a cinnamon bun dough, with an awesome whiskey flavoured cream. If you have some cream leftover put it on your pancakesdelicious!

The shredded ham is supposed to be there specialty but it was very salty (-1 star).

Portions are generous and the service was pretty quick.

Great food. They really know how to compose a dish. Wonderful flavor combinations and great cheese! The Gluten Free pancakes were delicious. Also they have vodka infused vegetables for their drinks. Very creative!!

Consistently creative, well-prepared, high quality food. Consistently good service from a tenured wait staff. Consistently fun atmosphere, and a pioneer in the Milwaukee brunch scene. This is a place I come back to time and time again. There is always a wait and it is always worth waiting. We bring out of town visitors here regularly because it's a good showcase for Milwaukee restaurants. Can't recommend it enough.

Had the classic Benedict with side of thick cut cherry wood bacon. Oh man it was good! Service was great; our waiter was so good with our kids too! Highly recommend. Just be prepared for a waitwell worth it!

Exceeded all expectations, food and service was awesome. Bacon might be the best ever, pancakes were great, coffee cake is a must. The ham stuffed hashbrowns were great as well. Strawberry jelly to die for. A must visit, we all loved it my two sons thought it was one of the best meals ever and my 75 year old mom thought it was great and inexpensive, which she never says that. A fantastic restaurant, it is definitely worth the wait. Staff happy, efficient, great all around place.

The absolute best dining experience I've ever had. The wait is a bit long, but SO worth it. The server was knowledgeable and very very polite. She recommended the monkey bread with a whiskey caramel dipping sauce and HOLY COW WAS IT GOOD! I had a coffee with Kahlua and she recommended I add some of the dipping sauce to it, and boy she was not wrong. I'm from Ohio but I know I'll be coming back to this gem!!

This place is amazing and has the crowds (on weekends) to prove it. It's worth the wait. Super friendly staff, excellent food quality and plenty of options for food sensitivities. Their ham is purportedly "famous". Don't forget to check out the daily special!

Best breakfast I've ever had! This place is flavor town. Service is excellent. I really appreciate the to go coffee. Homemade strawberry jam is like moms. We will drive 45 minutes to get here and there's always a waitlist. It's worth the wait! Well done everyone at Blues egg.

Man this places breakfast is absolutely amazing. They take breakfast as we know it and throw it out the door. Different ingredients and options. When your seated they start you off with complimentary seasonal fruit with homemade strawberry jam that's out of this world good. There is a bit of a wait as with any place that tastes this great and the prices are more along the lines of lunch/dinner prices but it's well worth it.

Best Omelet I've ever had coming from out of town the experience made me feel I was at home. The service was great and it was a real at home atmosphere. Definitely worth the wait if there's a long time frame to be seated. They really care about their customers. Great place I recommend it to my friends in NYC who plans to come to WI.
Your staff are all rock stars, coming from NYC I'm pretty critical about where I eat but HANDS DOWN THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!! If you ever close down I will protest from NYC!!! It beats every breakfast places I've been to in New York. Wow I'm blown away I'll be back for sure.
