Some nice hikes with a bit of elevation and towers to help get the heart rate up. Not normally too crowded. Also some nice areas to get pictures of flowers and insects.

Blue Mound State Park is a great park all year around for a family. Place for tots to play. Two towers for looking out over the farm land that is 400 feet below. You can see the Wisconsin Capitol from the East tower. Camping and outdoor swimming pool for use during the summer. Several miles of hiking. Cross Country skiing during the winter. Top of the park feels like an infinite lawn with a huge horizon for playing frisbee. I have enjoyed the park for many seasons and keep coming back..

absolutely mindbogglingly gorgeous out here. the campsites are decent, nothing fancy but not quite primitive camping. park was decently quiet and the rangers weren't overly nosy over the weekend.

Camped here while at a nearby conference. Tent sites are gravel so make sure you bring a pad. Excellent shower with hot water. Have to get used to the weather radio playing over bathroom's speaker. Can't hear that outside. Sites have fire ring and table.

Great camp sites, lots of stuff to experience in the park and nearby. Great staff. Vault toilets were in a better condition than I expected. Flushing toilets and showers available, and also clean. Highly recommend camping here.

Wonderful park even with the rain. Mountain bike trails were closed mosy likely because there was water everywhere from all the rain. Splash pad and pool were a huge hit with my kids.

Very nice park overall. The grounds and the campsites are kept up well. I really like having the guest host there. I was there over Memorial Day and they even had a service up there for a plane crash that happened many years ago. There are nice hiking trails and the staff was very helpful. Will camp there again!

We have now finally visited this wonderful park in all seasons, and can confirm it's amazing in each one of them. The views are wonderful, trails are awesome and varied (from meadow to woods, deciduous to coniferous, flat to hills, and stones to water), and the rangers and facilities are always nice. The skiing was perfect the other day too. It's just a wonderful escape from Madison and we're always happy to be here.
