Great place to sit relax and get beautiful. Caitlin Reilly she's my girl.
Had a few disappointing experiences with my hair since moving to NH, it has probably left me feeling a little traumatized. I recently made an appointment with Carol the owner. She really went above and beyond to put my mind at ease and to cater to a few particulars, she has an amazing staff, a very busy salon, and everyone was just so pleasant and happy. A rare find. Highly recommend.
Just moved to area. Did a walkin for an express pedicure and had a great experience, from front desk welcome, pedicure to talking to carol (owner) everyone was great! Everyone seemed happy to be working there! Haircut by carol next week.
Carol gives the best haircut in New England, hands down. Much better than any Newbury Street establishment, and with none of that fake chi chi attitude. Her staff is great, and no wonder, they have her as their leader. If you live on the North Shore, make the trek. It's worth it.
I usually go to another salon for a mani pedi monthly but forgot to make my appointment so on my day off a couple weeks ago I decided to try out this place since I had never been before. I always get the shellac manicure because I like how it lasts longer. I feel it's worth the extra money. My shellac usually lasts a week and a half which is great considering my job is very hands on. The staff was friendly and pretty helpful. However my manicure seemed very half-done, as if the woman didn't truly care how they looked. She left a huge, very noticeable piece of broken nail and just painted over it. Not to mention that I was told they should last about two weeks (not expecting really more than a week) - TWO DAYS later 2 of the nails had already fallen off and i hadn't even gone to work yet! I was barely even using my hands and somehow two nails fell off in two days. Unfortunately by this point my time off was over and I would have no time to go back and have them fix it. By day 4 I had 3 nails left - what a waste of money! They last longer when I do them myself at home with $2 Walmart nail polish. I certainly won't go back for a manicure.
I had color services done twice here, with decent results. It seemed a little pricy, but I liked their discount card promotion. I made a third appointment, and when I went in for it, I was told it was actually a week later. I know I made it for that day, as I would be out of the country the following week.
The fit me in, which I appreciated, even with rolled eyes and exaggerated sighs of the male receptionist- he acted like he was doing me the biggest favor. The stylist was in a hurry, so she slapped on five or six foils. I got a hair cut as well. The bill came to a staggering $140 and I couldn't believe I had just paid that much to be made to feel like such an inconvenience. I would have rather they just turned me away in the first place.
I went to a different salon a few weeks later, and the stylist there couldn't believe how awful the last color job had been.
It's a cute salon (the color bar area is great)but this experience has led me to take my business elsewhere.
