Not good for sailors. I had my 35' sailboat here for over 5 years. The yard is level and well drained; water and electricity are attainable with hoses and extension cords. It's impossible to get my mast under the fixed bridge just before the yard except at dead low tide. There is a large, ill-marked rock just off the main dock. Having work done on the boat was NOT a good experience. The engine work they were supposed to complete over the winter was not started until the spring and not finished until late July. Another year they were supposed to replace two side cables (side stays) that support the mast. After launching the boat they removed the two old cables, and then they informed me that they didn't have their own rigger, and the one they contracted with was in Florida for several more weeks. They left the boat at the dock for me with none of the boat's other cables tightened at all, which I didn't realize until I was in 25 knot winds. Really bad.
It has a great boat ramp with plenty of parking and access to the piscataqua river. Has bait and tackle in the marina store and a diner
Love this spot! Great burgers and fries, beautiful view and nice staff.
Tom, Deb and Martha are great. Bob and Rigging crew are fantastic. We think it is the best boatyard facility on the east coast! Good pricing. Hard working and always willing to go the extra mile for you!
I love GBM. Matt is the best Honda mechanic I've ever been to. The employees have always been extremely friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the quality is hard to beat. All around great atmosphere, especially with the addition of Lexie's!
Great place to be. Beautiful area. Great food at lexi's.
Great staff, great restaurant, great location. What more can you ask for?
Go elsewhere if you can. I went there because they were supposedly Honda certified and could handle a big job, but that's very debatable. I know they had non-certified mechanics doing some of the work. So I went the to fix my motor. After requesting for weeks for the service manager to please give me an estimated he refused the whole time. Finally 1/2 way through a technician told me it would be about $2,000, when I picked up my boat the bill was over $4600. If I got an accurate quote upfront I would have just bought a new motor instead of putting the money into an old motor. The service manager would never tell me a quote to do the job, very evasive, but every week keep telling me he needed new parts $$$ that had to be ordered, more delays too. Also quality of work was subpar, covers not seated properly, cables miswired, screws not fully torqued. I felt screwed over at the end. They had me by the balls and knew it since I paid a hauler $600 just to move the boat there. If I had to do it again I would have gone to a local reputable non Honda dealer instead.
Terrific facilities, and steady management under Sean McKenna. Great technicians, but our experience has been that Service Manager Bob Swasey is a poor communicator, and does not follow through on what he promises.
First year at this marina , Shawn worked with me on getting the right spot for my boat. My father is 84 and long docks may be a problem in near future .
Staff has been great, great water level even at low tide, and they have really made us feel welcome.
They have several events each year potlucks and been great to meet my niebors, seems like a great crowd and will be back next year.
Brought my boat in for some minor damage to the hull. Was told it would take about 8 hrs of labor spread over a week and they'd probably get it done in two weeks. 5 weeks later, I finally went looking for my boat, didn't see it so assumed it was being repaired. At end of week, finally called and they told me it done. Couldn't find the boat after searching for half hour, but when I did, I realized it had been sitting there for at least a week without anyone notifying me it was done.
Work was done really good. No complaints. HOWEVER, the trailer was damaged, not bzd, but still damaged and no one owned up to it. Trying to get replacement parts to determine the cost of the damage.
