While the amenities, location, and some of our neighbors are wonderful, management is not proactive. We've had issues with security in the building and parking garage. I've been assaulted by nonresidents in the building. Slow response to repeated theft in the parking garage. Building rules are not enforced. Management itself parks in the 20 minute zone for hours. Went outside last Saturday at 10am to find vomit in the walkway, lobby furniture in the breezeway, and garbage. Unreservable common elements have been allowed to be used for party space, with damage that results in no consequences. Contrary to popular belief, there is no security; only a concierge that accepts packages and is supposed to check in guests, but that doesn't always happen. I frequently have to make room in the recyclable bins for my recyclables because boxes aren't broken down. I ripped up the back of my heel on the staircase in the garage that is falling apart, and today my boyfriend tripped and fell when the same staircase crumbled under his foot. I've emailed management about issues many times over the past year-and-a-half and gone to board meetings. However, I've felt dismissed and made to feel like a complainer. Also, at least 20% of the reviews as of the date of posting are not from people who actually live here.
Omg it has everything
beautiful building, cool sky patio, ping pong tables in the basement.
The Blatz is a wonderful place but would be a 6 star rating if it opened the coffee shop up again. Not to mention, creating jobs.
I work in the area, and I am so glad the students opened this cute little Cafe. The students are really friendly, it seems like a great opportunity for them, and they serve the best coffee beans in the city..Alterra! I have to recommend the Grasshopper - a mocha with mint, whipped cream, and chocolate toppings, or a Strawberry/Ice Cream smoothie. They are both to die for! Stop by and support the students of MSOE!
