Great for my before work workout, always a machine available and plenty of locker space. Music isn't obnoxiously loud and there's always enough parking spaces.
The new manager has made MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS in the last month. The lights have all been fixed. The air conditioning is working better. Machines are repaired more quickly. The women's locker room and showers are clean. They listen to the members. The workout area is kept in order and clean. They care about us!
Wow! I'm lost for words. This place has changed in a major way Great customer service, clean, lots of equipment, and to top it off, they have a personal training department that really cares about your fitness goals. If your looking to join a gym I recommend BLAST FITNESS!!
Change up happening,Lighting repaired more visible cleaning ,Equipment maintained more often. Inexpensive dues good staff.
You can definitely notice the difference in the cleanliness here. You can actually smell cleansers! Bulbs that had burned out have been replaced and things are getting fixed quicker. Happy to see the changes.
Some awesome stuff being done with this place! Major improvements being made. Has an OFF THE CHAIN personal training program. Staff are attentive and friendly. Reasonable membership pricing. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone to come check it out!!! :)
I've been going to Blast for a few years now and I have never had a bad experience. It's a great gym with two floors, lots of different equipment and even a track for running. They also have all types of group exercise classes with really great instructors. The membership prices are very reasonable, the staff is always helpful and the members are great. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to join a gym!
***NOT HONEST***
**NOT CLEAN**
*NOT AS ADVERTISED*
Bathrooms/locker rooms were dirty, showers were open, not private, and a staff member would check on me every time I was taking a shower (creepy).
I had a 3-day trial membership and was told that as long as I cancelled before the end of my third day that I wouldn't be charged. After seeing this disgusting place and trying it for two days I asked the employee at the counter to cancel my membership. He told me it wasn't an issue but a month later I had a collections agency calling me for a $107.xx "debt".
Not clean. Not honest. Not as advertised. I will never go here again.
Where do I start. I call on a holiday (today, Presidents Day) to see what their hours are. I'm assuming normal hours, but nobody answers the phone, even after calling 3 times.
Most of the time, it's hard to get onto an elliptical that works (rpm's and miles that you went are higher than they should be because something is wrong with calibration). Or on level 1, you feel like you're on level 20.
Everyone starts going around 4pm when they get off work and all of the machines you normally use are taken. Doesn't help the fact that most of the machines have an out of order sticker on them.
I usually have to tell someone when they are out of paper towels to wipe down the machine after I use it. People are friendly but most stand around doing nothing, so I know they should be answering the phone at least. I'm about to switch gyms. It's an inconvenience to stand around waiting on your normal workout machine to become available.
Joined 2 weeks ago haven't even fine. Place is run down equipment is not all that and carpet is musty . pool isn't usable they said it was closed for 2 years . they said that place is supposed to be renovated but it's been years and it's still the same . this was said by some in who works there
Decent size and good selection of machines and free weights. They offer spin and other classes. Also there is a racquet court too. Good size showers. Child care offered. No pool, no hot tub,no sauna- this used to be available until it was taken over by Blast. My gripe is cleanliness in the changing room must be improved and repairs to the shower stalls be made. Slow to make any repairs.
I joined Blast fitness online because I had received an advertisement that they were running a "special" waiving the $50 annual fee and I figured that for $21 per month it was worth giving them a shot. I started the next day and didn't really think much of the shoddy facilities, locker room that looked like it went through a prison riot, bathroom that smelled more like an outhouse, showers that looked like they hadn't been cleaned since prohibition, and malfunctioning equipment scattered through out the gym. A month later I get a charge from Blast for $50 so I call and they explain that the fee waiver was only temporary I was angry but I read the fine print in a little more detail and it vaguely explains this. I was still not happy about it but I accepted that they got me hook line and sinker like a sucker.
Now it's been 6 months and there is still equipment in that gym with the same, 'out of service' stickers or tags on them. Recently they changed their hours and it is no longer 24 hours, which I wouldn't mind so much if the new schedule wasn't just the most inconvenient one could come up with as far as a gym goes. It's almost like they don't want their members to stay.
Two weeks ago I had someone join me for a workout and at the end while we were talking she invited me to her gym where they had a salt water pool. I went today and I was shocked that it is a really nice and clean facility with functioning equipment and staff that is attentive. The showers are nice, the locker room was neat and tidy and the bathrooms didn't smell like someone had used the floors instead of the toilets. After talking to my friend about the membership I discovered that this place costs the same amount as Blast fitness!!! Actually cheaper if you take the annual fee into account. Needless to say I'm heading straight over to Blast to get my cancellation waiver (Yes you have to go there and get a cancellation form from the staff if you want to cancel / leave) and I'm joining the other gym.
