This place is helpful for the poor who get food orders from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The people are friendly and helpful. Also some where at that site is a transient resource center. It is a real blessing to have this place in our community.
If you're down on your luck, you can visit with your local Mormon bishop, get a food order, then get it filled at the bishop's storehouse. It's a small grocery store where you give them your food order at checkout instead of cash.
It's the Mormon way of giving back to the community and helping those in need.
Locals are known to this store. They help those who are in need and everything else. Love UTAH
Every time I've gone there it's been the best service we are blessed by God to have people working there
When the church assisted me off the streets I was provided the opportunities to serve in this establishment for food and for work to meet half way with them financially !! I was baffled to learn while serving their to assist myself and others with food and daily needs such as soap and toothbrushes ETC.That 70% and higher of individuals that came to this particular store house weren't members of their church at all!!!😍. These were individuals like me that needed a option of a better life! BUT we and others also were willing to work for a positive life and such the LDS CHURCH SUGGESTED in return to their suggestions to a better life ! This church practices what they preach as far as service is concerned to others FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!
I lived in a Wal-Mart parking lot in my van for 6months when a Bishop from the LDS church found me and offered me a better life, but most importantly he suggested and followed through with my progress as I worked for a postive life as well ! I worked for all food they gave me at this establishment ! A WIN WIN! FOR EVER GRATEFUL I REMAIN.
JOSHUA SAMUEL SWOPE
BISHOP WAGSTAFF WAS THE GENT THAT SAVED MY LIFE !
My family and I volunteer here every Saturday, and have for over 5 years. It's a great organization.
A first rate place that serves the underprivileged regardless of faith. They truly are a charitable place and do wonderful things.
They help u get what u need it us much faster then the old way. People were friendly and helped in whatever way they could.
Amazing place to tour and see how folks work on self reliance and helping others. Samples are great at tour end.
A very friendly and helpful place. The supplies for the needy that are offered are extraordinarily high in quality. Amazing things the LDS Church does for people!
Service was real good and they have everything what one person could what
Wonderful thing the church has going. Great resource for those in need of a little assistance during difficult times.
If you need help with food or clothing you usually can get help here. Although if you're not LDS you do get disapproving attitude from those that write the vouchers, which I was surprised because you would think they would be more welcoming. Volunteers are very nice and the selection is decent.
The DI near here doesn't have a lot to choose from compared to other stores even though I was advised the opposite I think because it's for homeless people to go there for help.
They help people from all walks of life. No judgement. They are wonderful people
The people who volunteer and the missionaries are so sweet. They have helped me when I was very sick. Thank you for all your kindness 💖
