The only good thing it's the location. Areas are dirty and stinky do to the MOLD, bad main tance and the people that smokes without any consideration of others. Staff doesn't care about complaints only your monthly payment
Whatever Floats your Boat
I've literally NEVER written a review, but this is the last apartment i'm staying in soooohere's one for the road
You're very close to the highway (I-65) and everything you need is nearby
This is a decent apartment complex
Office staff is nice and tentative and maintenance responds almost immediately, no complaints there
The rooms are spacious and the vaulted ceilings on the second floor are very nice. There are plenty of cabinets, but they're all small spaces, so anything large may not fit.
Love the storage unit
I've seen reviews about bugs, but I have not had that issue, maybe because i'm on the second floor?
If you like geese, you won't if you live here. They're loud and always honking. there's goose dump everywhere and they're always in the road.
The gym is not what you think it is and if you actually play basketball, forget about the court, its a wreck. The grounds are not really taken care of, other than the clubhouse area (which is VERY nice). The buildings need to be cleaned and the main door to the common area are all beat up, so the appearance is not that great.
The snow is plowed and they do put salt down before it snows, so that's great as well.
My Biggest concern with these apartments is that there are no designated smoking areas or non-smoking areas. My neighbors (not even sure who) smoke like a chimney and you can smell it everywhere. I've never smoked and have developed allergies as a result.
There should at least be designated buildings for smokers and non-smokers, because I can't handle it
Overall, it is a decent apartment for the price and if you have lots of gatherings the clubhouse is amazing for a low flat rate price to rent out
I moved in due to several former tenants having nothing but great things to say about the apartment homes. I moved in and absolutely love my apartment, I was disappointed that the main bathrooms' toilet was dirty and when I told the staff about it 2 weeks before I actually moved in about it she said she'd have it taken care of. Well on the Saturday I move in it hadn't been touched so I called and told staff again and she said I'd have to wait until Monday! I also had issues with the master bedrooms toilet not wanting to flush, I came home from work to see they used a snake and damaged the porcelain bad!! Very unnecessary. But I say the good outweighs the few bad issues! I love that it's quiet and a small community.
I lived at Bexley Village for 3 years and never had any issues. The office staff were always very friendly and helpful and the maintenance crew was always quick to respond the requests. Even after hours, the on-call maintenance men were great. The complex itself was always clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking on the Southside!
I've been here almost two years. I like the apartment but there's a lingering smell in the common entry as soon as you come in. The spiders, centipedes, roaches, and bed bugs are a problem. I'm told they've sprayed for spiders, centipedes, and roaches but they're still here and in the halls too so I've resorted to handling it myself to ensure its done. The bedbugs were treated and so far no evidence. For what it's worth, they use Gold Seal Pest Management for the big stuff like all of its not big to a resident right? And maintenance sprays for other stuff.
I definitely won't be staying here and I don't recommend it. I was told that if see any bugs, even household spiders, to call maintenance so they could spray. First couple of weeks, there were centipede like insects and spiders bigger than the normal "house hold" ones. They sprayed twice. Now, there's ants. I still have a bad spider problem AND there was a mouse. But no one came out to set traps, and it's been two days since I've called. I have children. I pay rent to live in this? Disgusting.
THEY HAVE A HUGE HARD WATER ISSUE. Which the office blames the city for and their maintenance flat out told us that until a few months ago, their water filtration system was non-existent. It leaves a disgusting white film on your dishes, it's unsafe to consume, molds the toilets/tubs, and is ruining clothes as well. And NO ONE warned us prior to signing the lease.
Update (30 days after prior review) : I had ANOTHER mouse, still have spiders and still nothing done. I know several people to have bed bug issues. Their solution to all of this? Breaking my lease. So much for rapport. My children have been bitten by these spiders, along with my husband and myself. I ended up having an allergic reaction to a bite. They keep saying they're going to "come and spray". This is at the least, the FIFTH time they've "come to spray". I'm contacting an attorney along with the Health Department at this point. How can they make someone PAY to live in this?
Bexley Village Apartments started off really great but getting into the fall and winter months everything changed. We were wondering why we didn't have hot water so we called the office thinking our hot water heater was broken when maintenance came out they informed us that we need to turn our heat to low in order to have hot water. Turn it to low did not help in this apartment we had completely turn the heat off for two hours for the hot water to heat up. When I called maintenance again they told me that was unusual the valve must be bad. They came out to fix again still not fixed. They came out one last time and said don't worry this'll do it I still have to turn the heat off to get hot water. I guess it doesn't matter anymore since winter is over but what a nightmare the entire winter was. Just when we thought things were going to be OK now we have bedbugs. That's just great. Luckily our mattress and pillows already have covers on them which is an allergen/bedbug cover because I have allergies so they're not in our bed or our pillows. I do not suggest this apartment complex to anyone especially people who have children. Why should you have to choose between washing dishes taking a shower or having heat absolutely ridiculous.
