They have the best menu in Northern Indiana and is one of the few places you can get a gluten free but with your burger

The place was a typical bar/restraunt. Deep fried just about everything. The onion rings are over sized. I could only eat one and a half of them. Drinks were cold and had a frosted glass.
Only problem was the entire building smelt like an ashtray. They should have a door between smoking and non. smoking. There was a thirty wait for "nonsmoking" section. Wouldn't have made a difference because of the large quantities of smoke in the air. We took a seet in the "smoking" section. That section had plenty of tables.response / report this review -

I had the half rack pi ribs well done. And they were amazing. Sauce was good n ribs was just right Beans had a lil too much onions and could have used a lil more juice, but still good. Service was fast and friendly. Worth the drive.

Bar food. It's good and has curb side take out. But sometimes it takes a while for them to come out to you.

Food was good! Atmosphere felt suspect. They allow smoking INSIDE the establishment. I felt like I stepped back in time 15 years!

Service was less than average. Requested golf tournament be put on one TV of three showing the same football game. Was told bartender had to do it. By the time she quit visiting with those sitting at the bar and changed the channel, the tournament was over. There were two holes left when I made the request. For the most part, your Sunday help is marginal at best. Didn't use to be that way. Can you say Applebee's? Don't let that happen.

The food was really good. Much better than i expected. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and a lot of the customers are regulars so you don't have to deal with too many of the normal riff raff you may come across most of the Elkhart bars.

Wait staff not attentive, lacking. My burger was dry and not hot. Hubby had Thai sweet chili wings add LOVED them.

I worked at this restaurant for 5 years during high school and college. Even after moving on to a career, I still come back to eat here at least once a month and have never gotten tired of the food. Always fresh, delicious American bar fare! There's something for everyone on the menu. And the papa smurfs are awesome Saturday night drinks.
