A good value. Room was very nice, appeared newly renovated, even had a fridge & microwave which I did not expect. Very good breakfast included! The lady working when we checked in had a baby over her shoulder, which was very unprofessional, but overall very pleased!
Room was clean and modern. Staff was great. I did not try the breakfast, but it looked good. Wifi was fairly strong. All in all, a nice place to stay.
I’m always skeptical about reviews of hotels online, but we took a chance on this place. My husband and I normally stay at the Red Roof across the way, but there was a mishap last visit and we won’t be staying there again. I am thankful that this room was very clean, neat, comfortable, and all the outlets worked. The bed was very comfy and spacious for two people over 6’2, we had the king. There was no smoke odor at all, thank goodness, and the AC/heater was working perfectly. It was very quiet even though it is off the freeway, and the curtains are thick enough to keep all light out. The spread they had for breakfast was good, lots of options to choose from. This location is very convenient to KC and surrounding cities. The TV did stop working at one point because they are updating to Direct TV, but we were given some $ back, as well as 20% off our next stay with them. Check in and check out process was easy as pie and the staff was very kind. We were very satisfied with our stay and will use this location in the future. Thank you!!
Pleasantly surprised with the room and the breakfast service. Staff was extremely helpful and attendant to any needs we had. Property is a bit dated but appears to be being maintained quite well. Expected issues with interstate noise as we were located just 4 rooms from busy I-70 and Noland Rd but the rooms were very quiet. No problems with noise.
We stayed here for a Chiefs & Broncos game GM Brian and all his staff were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the 1st class treatment we got from Audrey from the minute we checked in to our last day there. We are glad we stayed with you. Also enjoyed the shuttle to and from the game.
Thank You Alfred Ritz
Standard sized rooms, but they are well appointed. Happy to see 2 chairs so we didn't have to sit on the bed to watch TV. I'm not a fan of the doors opening directly to the outside, motel style. Very easy access to and from the highway.
Nice staff. Clean rooms, although the room kind of smelled like smoke. A lamp and outlet weren't working in my colleges room. Pretty good breakfast.
This hotel is great. Great service. Great staff. Great breakfast. The rooms are modern up to date. Bed and bedding extremely comfortable.
Clean, comfortable room. Comfortable beds. Good hot & cold buffet breakfast (& free). The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was a bit small, but still plenty of room. Great price!
Being under 21 made it very difficult to find a hotel in the KC area, however, Best Western Truman Inn allowed me to book a room. The booking process was a little stressful as the hotel phones were down for many days prior to my stay. Despite that I was able to book my room. Check-In and Check-Out were incredibly smooth and easy. Overall it was a great hotel for what I needed.
The hotel was ok but I had the smell of cigarette smoke that seemed like it was coming from another room. I couldn't move as the hotel was sold out. The reception clerk only gave me basic information during check in. No map to room location and no instructions as to breakfast. After a very long and hot motorcycle ride, I just wanted to get to my room. I asked where my room was but only got "It's by the fitness room". I had to ride around the hotel to find it. The room was nice and the breakfast staff and checkout were nice. I also wasn't offered the bonus points for my Platinum status. I didn't even know about these until my next stop. Overall it was a nice stay.
I've never been disappointed by a Best Western stay. This was however not my favorite stay. The staff was super friendly. The room was clean but smelled of stale smoke even though it was non smoking room. I would stay here again if something else wasn't available but not sure that I'd intentionally seek this particular location again.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The back patio was nice to sit at with a cool drink as the evening progressed. The reason they got the 2 stars is the room layout. We've never experienced a bathroom that small outside of an airplane. The toilet was mere inches from the tub and if you are very tall when you close the door your knees are maybe a foot from the opposite wall. The room layout is such that you only have a very, very small distance between the tv/refrigerator/microwave combo cabinet to the foot of the bed. We were located on the second floor. The balcony and flooring of the second flooring was sticky, slanted, and had very large cracks in spots. Overall not the best of Best Westerns.
Rooms looked updated, modern. The exception was the bathroom, it seemed older. Poor water pressure, poor TV reception. Very good breakfast, very friendly staff. Motel style layout, with exterior doors. Outdoor pool, in plain sight of road and lobby, in case you were looking for a secluded experience. Fine for overnight stay, but wouldn't recommend for anything extended.
The staff at welcoming and breakfast were wonderful. The food was good and hot, there was ample food for every one and several options to choose from. The cleaning staff did a great job every day.
However, our nonsmoking room reeked of cigarettes and my children are now sick because they are allergic to it. Also, sadly, the pool was closed even though it was in the high 70s and low 80s during our stay.
The bathroom is pretty cramped. You have to sit on the toilet or stand over it to close the door.
Right next to a Sheridan's Custard and Momo's grill. The custard was yummy. Hotel is also close to area attractions.
