Location is fantastic. The building is older but has been/is being renovated.
Room was comfortable and clean. The convenience of some of the amenities needs work.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The down side here is the food. The free breakfast is sub par compared to other hotels. This was my first stay as a BW Rewards member. I was not impressed.
I dropped the brand H rewards program after 12 years because their quality has consistently dropped over the years. I am considering trying another brands program after this experience.

For the price great deal, clean, good breakfast and location,location, location. Right on the beach. Walking distance to food, shopping. Con's, an older hotel don't leave any food out small tiny ants"The weather did turn very cold they might have been getting warm". Just be sure you get an ocean front. Ocean views are on the sides. Fronts are much better.

I really enjoyed my stay at Best Western Castillo Del Sol. My family and I have been going there for years. They have excellent customer service and friendly staff, and an Awesome hot breakfast with homemade waffles! Their prices are reasonable and I enjoy their ocean front rooms. Awesome job, God Bless all the staff!

The best feature of this hotel is the view, right on the ocean. Their breakfast is adequate however the attendant is not very helpful in preparing waffles or other items that require instructions. The room was adequate although the kitchen stove did not have clean foil under the burners. The refirgerator was very clean and stayed cold. The bathrooms were adequate but need a deep cleaning of the floors. The beds were comfortable and clean and there were plenty of towels. There was a nice pool and deck with chairs for sunning and steps down to the beach.

The overall beautiful and feel of this hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly, but a little more attention to detail is suggested for housekeeping.
The pool area was clean, the location was Perfect, breakfast buffet was delicious with nice choices, and I would stay again. I would recommend this hotel. Offering a lower price made this trip more budget friendly as well.

We were able to secure a great price for this ocean front room for 3 nights mid-week. The full breakfast bar was excellent but the rooms were very dated and really needed a complete makeover. There were 2 elevators and one of them was being worked on throughout our 3 night stay. The parking was very tight on the lobby level so we parked on the lower level -- which was very, very hot with no air movement at all. The pool and patio area, with a fire pit, was very nice. THE BEACH IS GORGEOUS; however, we won't be back until they complete a makeover of this hotel.

Ocean front view is awesome!! Sunrise from our balcony is glorious and moon's reflection on the ocean is inspiring. Our beds were comfortable and the room spacious and clean. Our grandson's first trip to the ocean was a total success, in part because of where we stayed. He loved the breakfast choices, the pool (clean and well maintained), and being able to walk right out on the ocean sand. Front desk staff know the area and made truthful recommendations, thanks Terrel. Beach was peaceful!

We had a really nice stay at the beach. This hotel has a very nice staff and very helpful in giving us information on things to visit and see during our stay. The room was larger then we expected with a large kitchen that was stocked with all the amenities needed to cook. The room was nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Internet worked wonderful and the view of the ocean was breathtaking. The beach was just beautiful. We would recommend this hotel for anyone who has a family such a great place for the kids.

I haven't spent time here as a paid guest, but my family stays here when they visit from out of town and they love it there. We usually go visit them and hang out around the pool area. It's a beautiful establishment and elegant maintained. I would highly recommend it.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating allowing us to make a change in reservation arrangements once we arrived. Location is great and close to great dining and entertainment. Beach area was not overly crowded even on Memorial Day weekend! Breakfast was always ready on time and a great amenity. Would definitely recommend Best Western for your summer travel destination.

I recently spent 5 nights at Best Western Castillo Del Sol in Ormond Beach, FL. It was right on the beach and convenient to many things, such as restaurants, pharmacy, Dunkin' Donuts, etc.
The Beach was clean, the Pool was clean, the room was spacious and clean. The staff attended to an issue I had, immediately. Apparently they had received some new Vinyl Seating which, unfortunately for them, had a very strange odor. They sent someone up to the room and they sprayed it. It seemed to have resolved the issue, the odor was not bad after they sprayed.
I found the staff in the Lobby and at Breakfast, as well as Housekeeping and Maintenance to truly care about what they were doing. Refreshing!!!
I believe you can't go wrong when staying at a Best Western! I will be visiting this hotel again and again.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Comfortable bed and good housekeeping practices. Breakfast saved time and money but wasn't something we looked forward to. Scrambled eggs were soft & a bit too moist and the sausage was warm but not hot. Good selection of yogurt and cereal. No muffins the first day and a few were available on the second day. Check in went quickly and staff provided good information and directions. Good location on the beach, with a nice size swimming pool. Overall, I would give them a second chance and stay there again.
