Tree farm closed this year . The sign said reopening 2018
We went last year and it was very hard to find a tree that wasn’t already dying. We were in a time crunch so had to settle for something but we will not be going back. Our tree was so dead that when we took it down right after xmas almost every single needle had fallen to the floor by the time I got my lights off of it.
Definitely need to treat the trees with some sort of preserving treatment. My tree lost all its needles with in two weeks. This is the 2nd time this happened with trees from this place. Never going back again.
We got our tree from Bengstons last yr. Never have we had a tree shed so much and so quickly. We wanted to get rid of it before Christmas bc it was so bad. The grounds were extremely muddy as well, walking through puddles and mud, jumping over with kids made it difficult. Won't be back.
Last year was our first time here. We will be returning again this year.
Excellent farm, this place is huge. The farm is 140 acre farm, they replant in zones so some years you have to walk, but the "Helpful Elves" carry your tree back for you so all you have to do find your tree and cut it, they even will cut the tree for you if you don't want to cut it. So it is a nice family adventure. For all the reviews that say there is no selection, they must not have wanted to walk, I don't think you could even walk around all the trees in a single day. You may have to walk a football field or two but there are tens of thousands of trees to choose from in so many varieties. There are also REAL reindeer for the kids, and the Real Santa was there on the weekends. I don't think there is a better choice for a family adventure and a real tree. Oh, I almost forgot, Christmas music everywhere, Christmas movies for the kids on a huge tv, fresh donuts, hot chocolate, photo opportunities everywhere and novelties in the gift shop.
So happy to have found this place! Huge selection of trees and plenty of people to help. The trees were well cared for and nicely shaped. The grounds were nice but my only complaint is that the paths are sloppy mud pits, could use some gravel or something so it's not so messy. The people were nice and the reindeer appeared to be well taken care of.
