The people that own this place are some of the nicest people I know. Wanda and Sue are exceptionally nice. My husband and I will continue to stay at Beachside Inn. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

No pool. Extremely musty. Cool place. Bad service. The room was pretty much unusable for me as it had salt and water stained carpet throughout and so heavily musty I could not breathe along with the ac off which took a couple hours to cool down. The pool is advertised and was our main attraction besides the beach, unfortunately it's closed for Good which you will find out upon checking in.
I greatly offended the owner, a small Asian woman, when I had to mention how my asthma limited my breathing ability especially in a room so clearly not meant for humans to sleep in.
The owner and her employee were extremely put out with the fact I didn't 'like' her hotel. They couldn't grasp it. I loved the place. However I couldn't sleep there. It was disgusting.
She refused to refund me any of my stay but I kept pushing until she begrudgingly gave me one night back with an extra charge for staying one night since she only rents in 2 night segments.
Would not stay again. Where are the standards ? I failed to mention the small blood stains in the sheets. But compared to the room that was ok.
I believe there was a cultural difference, unfortunately because it's a really cool place.response / report this review -

We called the same day we we're coming down and was told they had a couple rooms but couldn't take same day reservation even though we needed a room for 3 nights. We were reassured we would be fine and have a room when we arrived. We called ahead a couple hours before arriving and let them know we were still coming. The young man sounded very irritated about our late arrival. We did arrive around 1:30am and again called the young man's personal phone. Again, he sounded irritated but came on down. We went into the office, which was very hot and disorganized, but he didn't waste any time getting us checked in. I happened to notice a sign on the wall that the pool was closed. As I was inquiring about this, our credit card was getting ran for the 3 night stay. We chose this motel, which was more expensive just for the pool. We have a 13 year old daughter who is making our stay unpleasant because there is no pool. The website does let you know that it is not beach side, like the name suggests but, nothing about the pool being closed. I asked why it was closed and the young man stated that it was just him and his grandmother and they just couldn't keep it up. At that time, we decided to stay the first night and find another motel first thing in the morning and get a refund for the other 2 nights. Well, by morning, everything else on the beach that was cheaper had no vacancy now. When we entered the room, I was immediately upset! It was NOTHING like the pictures on the website. We were given a room with a full size bed with an old TV, mini refrigerator, and microwave in the room when you first walk in. The room to the right had a king bed with a TV stand with no TV and a few chairs. All the floors we're ceramic tile. When I went to pull the covers back to get in bed, a couple bugs ran off the pillow onto the wall and floor. (Thank goodness I always carry a set of sheets, pillows and blanket when going to a motel. First time I've ever had to use my own sheets!) I was of course ready to leave at that point but, we stayed because nothing else was open. (Yes, I was calling motels at 2am!) The shower (no bathtub) is horrible, the water pressure is so low that it took a good 15 minutes standing under the shower to get my hair fully wet. (Also has gunk all up in the shower head.) I did give it a second star for the owner, she is super friendly and tries really hard to make us happy, but, at this point, only another room will make me happy! I would not suggest staying here, I know we won't. Before the owner found out we we're handicapped, we we're asked to move our car to the side of the building and not park in front of our room as guest coming in needed somewhere to park. Later, after learning that we have a handicap placard, she told me to move a cone into our space when we left so that the space would still be available upon return. I have never been this upset over a motel! I will NEVER depend on a motels website again.(will be posting pictures tomorrow) The room looks NOTHING like their website photos, they are very outdated. The property is over run with bushes and very poorly maintained. There is also mold and rotten wood around the windows from the window air condition units. Avoid this motel, you will not be happy.

We have been coming here for years and loved it. It's a quaint little Inn, but they have closed the pool and are selling off part of the establishment unfortunately.

Last minute trip to the beach, and we grabbed the last room left. The family running Beachside Inn is incredibly sweet and helpful. There was an issue with water, and they immediately went to each room to update as they could. We were disappointed that the pool isn't workingbut still a great place!

Quaint hotel just a short distance from the beach. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Would happily stay again.

My girlfriend and I spent this past weekend at the Beachside Inn. We had rented a room down the street at another establishment and were very displeased. As we drove toward Ft Fisher I saw the Beachside Inn and called to ask about a room for a couple of nights. Owner took us to see the room and we were very pleased. We of course lost half the rental fee from the other inn, but our stay at the Beachside Inn made up for it. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and the closeness of the beach also. Were gonna go back in a few weeks for another weekend. We are very much looking forward to our return visit. ☺

Great little place, just a short walk from the beach! Loved the service! Very helpful and easy-going. It's no Ritz-Carlton but it is a very lovely, quaint little hotel!

TERRIBLE HOTEL. TERRIBLE SERVICE.
Made a reservation a few days before for a last minute trip. Was quoted 109.99 for the room. Got there to check in and "with tax" it was 164.99, with no answers as to why taxes were so high for the room. It would have coated "half of the room fee" to cancel.
Got there could NOT check in until an 2 hours past check in time. 4pm.
To stay one night.
They had no clean sheets.
Hardly no parking.
TERRIBLE.
