Poor seating management. Open tables available. Upon seating, immediate service (beverages) was lacking.
Food is good. Prices are moderate for Bellingham.
I've been to this place a bunch and tried a few different things, but I just can't stay away from their Mac n cheese with bacon. They give you so much, and it makes the best left overs! I also am a big fan of their fried chicken po-boy and their hush puppies. My one dig? I feel that the service is kind of nonchalant and casual - which some waiters really pull off, but other times leaves me wishing for more. Never been a huge issue, never stopped me from coming back, but something I've noticed.
Came here for brunch. The crab cakes weren't bad, but the shrimp and grits were terrible. The shrimp were overcooked and the grits were lumpy. Service was slow but friendly.
The one and only place to get Cajun style food. There pulled pork sandwich is the best in town. Great drinks available here. Outdoor seating is fantastic during the summer.
The Jambalaya was sub par especially for a Cajun restaraunt. Otherwise ok food. But had the shrimp n grits before and was awesome
Love this place great food and drinks. The remulaude (sp?) And sweet potato fries are to die for.
Great food and service. Jambalaya was amazing. Definitely worth a visit.
I love the theme of this restaurant and the cozy atmosphere. Their food is amazing and their house-infused liquor cocktails are great too!! Sometimes there's a long wait for a table but the experience is well worth it.
Always love the atmosphere and food. Changed the menu and took away many of my favorites :( Service is great and we rarely have to wait to be seated. Best Spicy Bloody Mary in town!
I personally don't care of Cajun food. But they offered the classic American food as well. I love the amount of energy the owner put in to make the environment one of a kind. It shows character and that they care about the business and the community.
The service was great food was awesome! Tried gator for the first time it was very tasty reminded me of pork. Next I want to try frog legs.
Was here when they first opened and hadn't been back in a long time. They really have made a fun environment with excellent menu options. We have added it on to the "go back soon" list :)
I had a really nice dinner there a few weeks ago. The food was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. It does get a bit noisy in there though
The food and drink here is good, however the bar manager is completely rude and disrespectful. She immediately had an attitude when my friend and I showed her our ID, was told "what do you want" after simply saying hi, and proceeded to yell at both of us for not tipping her after we did not feel our service was sufficient. I've never been spoken to by anyone in this manner, and while I calmly gave an explanation for not tipping she called us names and stormed off. I tried once more to calm her down and ease the situation, but was told by another bar tender that she was the manager and there was nothing he could do. It's safe to say that I will not be returning to Bayou, and I hope no one else has this experience going forward.
