Friendly staff, room was suitable. Bathroom was below average. Price was right. Location was odd and sort of difficult to find or locate from the highway
I checked in around midnight and the front desk clerk checked me into a room that was not cleaned. The beds were not made, garbage everywhere, ect. She then escorted me to another room where she could not get the door open because someone else was already in that room. The room seemed decent and I didn't expect much for the price. I later found that I was badly attacked by bed bugs!!
MY DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK - MY PHONE DID NOT WORK - THE NEXT MORNING MY TV WOULD NOT COME ON - I STAYED ONE NIGHT AND CHECKED OUT - THE ONLY BRIGHT SPOT WAS THE FRONT DESK STAFF OUTSTANDING SERVICE
Hair in the bathtub & on the bathroom floor just nasty. The air conditioner was so loud . I had to turn it off to sleep. I put bottle water in the frig only to take it out to realize the frig wasn't plugged in. I plugged it in. The frig started making a noise. So I unplugged it. The tv channel selection was horrible. The breakfast selection was just as bad. I stayed in room 309 . I hope things are corrected. 08/26/2017 just checked out.
Definitely not like the pictures. It's not the worst I've ever seen, but definitely needs improvements. For the money we paid, I expected much better! The carpet is nasty, the tub wasn't clean. Everything needs a makeover, very outdated!
Horrible. We will stay somewhere else next year. We would have changed hotels but all hotels were full. (No vacancy)
1. I made RESERVATIONS IN MARCH. We were given the wrong room and a wrong room for my children. We asked for connected rooms and they didn't have any, as the connecting rooms we reserved in March were given away, even though they were reserved!
2. The rooms were dirty. See attached pictures. The front desk clerk had to clean our room and the bathroom. One positive she was very apologetic.
3. The refrigerator made noise (loud banging) the entire stay.
4. The bathrooms had an awful smell
5. No clean towels were placed in our rooms, when our rooms were straightened the following morning. The dirty towels, which had been placed on the floor to clean up the water that poured out from the shower curtain, had been folded and placed back on the rack as well as the dirty rags.
6. The mishap with our reservation had been blamed on an employee who had been terminated before our arrival.
7. We were told that while we were out; our rooms would be cleaned. Upon our return, a few hours later, nothing had been cleaned.
8. I have stayed here for the last 4 years each fourth of July, I will never stay here again, as every year there has been an issue but none that were a terrible as this year's service.
The staff is extra friendly. Pool is clean and it's not far from the islands. Noticed a moldy smell and wet floor in the first room after I notified the manager. She was quick to give me another room. Overall great place and great people
A decent hotel for the price. The front desk staff were really nice. Our room was clean enough, but the ceiling over the shower looked a bit suspect. Mold, possibly? The bed was firmer than preferred, but it was not wholly uncomfortable. The pillows are okay. The continental breakfast is good. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, omelettes, and multiple cereals are available, as well as fruit, coffee, milks, and juices. The location is a good middle point for Jekyll Island as well as St Simons Island. Good location in regards to food choices. The pool was open and clean while we were here and people seemed to enjoy it. All in all, I'm not disappointed, but not overly impressed either.
Got in late. Room had a bed. Everything was clean
I really wanted to give a good review but for the most part the breakfast was great. The price was good and that's about it. I asked for the room to be cleaned at the very least the trash to be taken out on Saturday around 12ish. I even left a tip for the housekeeper and nothing. Money still there, room still needed to be cleaned and that was ok but I really needed the trash taken out and more towels. One very small trash can. Called the office and was told housekeeping was gone. Oh well. Only come here if you are tight on cash and it's a one nighter. Oh and don't count on WiFi. I had sad kids for two days.
Clean room at a good distance from the islands for a reasonable rate. Bed was spacious and water was always hot.
Our mattress was soaked with urine. We found a large bug inside our hotel room. Their was a bloody band-aid under our bed. They moved us to another room that had a strong smell of smoke that my three children and wife had to endure all night. They were apologetic. Aweful stay, for my family!
I intended to give this location one star, but that indicates HATE, and I am not a hater, but 2 stars is being generous. Not only was I disappointed, I was disjointed. My wife said I looked like I was having seizures underneath the sheets, one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. I should have turned and ran when the desk clerk handed me the room card keys and gave me the flu. By her own admission, she was sick and had been for days/daze. From a distance, the outside all looks lovely. Up close, everything is broken. Improperly hung entrance doors with no numbers. Our first room was filthy, ditto the sheets. The place reeks of cheapness. Like a boxer, stumbling on their feet, the match all but over, this place is all but over. In our replacement room, the refrigerator was unplugged and reeks of mildew and mold. The radio alarm clock is unplugged, indicating time has stopped, but do not be alarmed. In the not too distant future, I resolve to not stay in another Baymont Inn. Here, you do not get what you paid for and if it sounds like I am whining, I am. Shame on a company allowing an independent owner to fly their banner with no apparent recourse. I would say more, but I have wasted enough of my time, but, hopefully, I have saved you yours.
