This place is a dump, sketchy people outside. Ceiling leaking all over, Smells bad, wallpaper falling off the walls and it smells like mold. Hallways are dirty also. On to the room, mini fridge is noisy as heck and rusty, curtains don't close, walls are broken, blood on ceiling. Scared to take my clothes off to sleep. Save yourself money and go sleep somewhere, this building should be condemned.
The place was visibly worn but the staff was nice and for the price it was ok
I work in the hospitality industry, on Jekyll Island. And I must say, customer service is on it's last leg at this establishment. Kathy, at the front desk, was not warm or inviting. It seemed as if she particularly didn't want to answer my questions And reluctantly granted me a "deal", after I took it upon myself to browse the web for a discount.
The hallways are extremely dirty. There are cats on the roof (yes, cats on the roof area of the lobby). The rooms smell bad, and my toilet is noisy.
I will not recommend this to anyone. Pay the extra money, and find a place that treats you with kindness, or at least somewhere clean and not smelly.
We've stayed there before and didn't realize when we booked the Rodeway that it was the same place. But we booked because Becky Campbell was answering the reviews on the Choice website, and we had always found her to be exceptional. Anyway, not sure what the deal was with the name change, etc., but it was the same great place. Becky finally got weekends off, but her weekend mgr Jennifer was outstanding! Our room was ready earlier than check-in, and it was perfect. One of our pet peeves is housekeeping disturbing us, when we have a late checkout. That's never happened here, and Jennifer made sure it didn't this time.
There are many food options nearby, and all within 10-15 minute drive.
The pool was refreshing and crystal clear.
We highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed.
I booked the room with the hottub. I give them credit they did try to fix it but the room was covered in flies when they got most of the flies gone then the geckos came. I guess to eat the flies. This was the room from hell.
I was nervous about the reviews but it actually surprised me. Front desk clerk was very nice and the bed was comfortable, good pillows and sheets. Clean. Thats the stuff I look for, and the price was right. I'll stay again.
Nice place to stay at. I didn't have any problems staying here for 3 nights. I like how breakfast is ready at 6 and newspaper is on the table for you daily while enjoying your breakfast! Would come again :-)
I am almost afraid now after looking at the reviews. Shall be staying in Sept.and hoping for a pleasant stay and enjoying the pool in the evenings. And am hoping for a wonderful breakfast in the mornings. This is why we booked so we can get a early start to the days at the beaches and touring. I try to look on the bright side of things, but when you expect something like cleanliness and amenities that are in print you expect it. Really hoping for the best and hope they do give us a great room that we requested.due to bad back and disabled now and expecting the best. And I shall give a review after we experience this Comfort Inn Experience. And I can only hope that they read this before our stay.
I shall give them a 3 star for now until after our stay and see if it shall go UP or DOWN
Everything was nice the bed was comfortable. But there wasnt hot water and i hate taking cold showers.
The rooms needs an extreme make over, the beds and pillows where comfortable however the suite I stayed in look just like a regular king bed room in most hotels.I did wake up with a few bite marks I believe are flea bites. The hallways are very dirty as well as the elevators too. The most disappointed part was breakfast where I took a picture of the fruit bowl the oranges where covered in mold and the employee seen how unhappy I was and simply walked away not taking the mold fruit with her or cleaning up. Finally the lack of appreciation the female employees seem to have for employment while gossiping just outside of the breakfast room clearly says it all on why this hotel is not up to part to any other quality in I've stayed in. The owner needs to be very concerned and so does the health department. 2 thumbs way down.
I booked the hotel for two days whit my kids. After 5 hours travel time we arrived. The lady on the front desk told me the pool was not work due maintenance works looks over months the pool was close. We get a room on the second floor. The room was a disaster. Windows was moist, the ground was moist, the walls was moist. Hair dryer not working after plug in, very dangerous. First and last time I staying Comfort Inn.
