Great place with great beerneed one say more? But, I will. Pizza was thin crust, but all were very tasty. The beer menu is a little over the top with things like cocnut, habanero, and peanut butter. PB, really? To each thier own. The good ole IPAs and Porters still work and are delicious.

Fun place to grab a beer and maybe some food if a food truck is around. The people are friendly and service is great.

They have now added pizza so no more food trucks. The pizza is good but not great. They overcook the crust so it is typically like a cracker, but not always. It is also super expensive for pizza. Still a fun place, just more limited on food options, but food is always available.

They have a large beer selection with many beers that are only available at Ballast Point locations.

Would be a five star if it wasn't for Doug the bartender. Doug is around 65-70 and trying very hard to remain relevant in this establishment and to society. I was with a group on a tour. One in the group asked if he could move the display glasses on the bar so that he could get a photo of the glasses and taps. He thought it would be neat. Doug told him, F$&@ You, and explained that the photo did not have enough "WOW factor". I guess Doug is really concerned about a photo he will never see, taken by a person he will never see again. If you walk through the front door of this place and see a 65 yr old gent wearing a fedora behind the bar, walk back out. Doug doesn't want you there. As for the rest of the staff and the place. They are great and location was fun. Doug just ruined Ballast Point for me.

Huge selection of well made beers. The brewery has a full menu and seating area. I stopped in for a tasting but could easily do a dinner as well.

I don't really know how they do it but no matter what beer Ballast Point is creating, it's delicious. I love going to this taproom because they have lots of their own beer on tap, and for cheap too. Definitely get a taster set and try a lot of their beers, and get into a tour they do for free while you're there so you can learn a bit about the process. Great spot to visit for a casual beer and hanging out.
