Made for UAB Basketball but I was there for a graduation ceremony which was perfect for the event.

Very easy to get in and out of, crowd is usually great if they're present for any event. Staff is good. Only downside are some plain cinder block walls on the interior.

I actually work at UAB, and we are very proud of Bartow Arena. It's a great venue. It's easy to get to, easy to find your way around once inside.

Lots of street parking within walking distance and felt safe to walk there. A nice smaller sized arena.
