Once again the pumpkins are huge and the apples are perfect. I love coming to this place bringing the kids it makes for memorable experiences each time. And it's always good to see the same faces every year everyone is so friendly :-) it is definitely worth the drive

It's a tradition to go apple picking at Barthels. My family loves it. And now with the grandkids involved, it's soooo much fun. After the apples are picked we move on to the pumpkin patch. And the search is on for those perfect pumpkins. Never a dull moment. We'll be back.

Place is always a zoo on weekend, but that's certainly not a mark against them. A bag of apples is a hair expensive for my taste, but the fruit was all in impeccable shape, and it's probably no more expensive than in the grocery store.

They say in the rules that you're not allowed to sample, but i'm sure they realize that eating apples off the tree is an indelible part of the orchard experience, and I'm sure that rule is just there to give them recourse in case someone really tries to be abusive with it.

By far the best "pick your own" farm I've come across. There is an abundant selection of quality produce. It is clean, the people are friendly and you get what you pay for!

Great for kids because the trees are low enough for easy picking

Barthel's has beautiful perennials, a nice selection of succulents, and vegetables. The berries are sweet but small now. They are near the end and difficult to pick quickly. The sugar snap peas are excellent. I would highly recommend Barthel's.

We have been picking here for years, very reasonable prices and gun way to kill a few hours on the afternoon.

A great experience that's fun for the whole family, from picking pumpkins to picking apples, the service is always friendly, and they are very helpful with emails updating interested customers on the status of new crops.

Massive farm, little variety. They've got a few types of apples to pick, pears you can't pick, and lots of pumpkins and gourd patches. The pumpkin variety actually increased this year with some heirloom varieties. They're really strict on not eating any apples while you pick. Better know what you like before you get there.

I loved picking apples at Barthel over the weekend. There were plenty to choose from even at this time of year. The clusters of trees were clearly labeled. $15 for a "small" bag of apples - we went home with over 30 apples. I suggest to put a sign in the front parking lot on the north entrance to direct to the apple picking "line." We first parked in the lot that turned out to be just for the bakery and pre-picked apples at the front of the orchard. If you want to pick apples, you must drive through a line, get a bag from the attendant, and drive into the orchard. That was pretty confusing. Overall, I would definitely go back. The apples are delicious and the fresh apple crisp donuts were incredible.

Pick your own strawberries and sugar snap peas. Get there early in the season if you can. Crops are always great. Best strawberries I've found. Pick a few flats, you'd be surprised how quickly you'll go through them one you taste how good they are. Grocery store strawberries don't even compare. And it's great activity for the whole family.
