I had a lovely meal from here. I came in and had no idea what I was looking at, but the man at the counter was very helpful and made recommendations and did his best to help me understand the menu. Very good food, excellent sauce to go along with it.

I surprised the wife and kids by bringing them Cevapi from Balkan Cafe. As I walked in they told me they just ate lunch, so I put the plates down and went to the other room to grab something I needed. When I walked back in the kitchen, they were all hovered around the plate almost done and starting on the next plate, then said, we just wanted a bite and couldn't stop eating. Hvala guys for such awesome food!! 😊😊😊

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while and I'm glad I finally did, I went in and got a warm greeting and explanation of the main menu. Then I chose to order the mix of everything, and it was great. Great service and amazing food, I'll be back for dessert soon.

Order: Balkan Plate (3 different kinds of meat and pita bread), grilled cheesy pita, cappuccino, daily cake
    Price: $32
Pros: The flavor in their meat is incredible, they definitely don’t skimp on the amount of meat you get, the owner is very nice and willing to explain or answer questions
Cons: A little hard to find as it’s tucked away in the corner of an old shopping strip

Thoughts: Erin and I decided we wanted to try something new today and so we started looking through the restaurants we had listed to try. Since we both love ethnic food, and the pictures looked pretty awesome, we settled on the Balkan cafe, and I think we found yet another “favorite” spot.

We walked in, grabbed a table, and within a few minutes the owner came over to talk to us. He explained each to the different meat options to us, along with a recommendation, and told us he would give us free dipping sauces since it was our first time there. I can’t even possible do the food justice by trying to explain it; but essentially it was three different kinds of beef in-between to thick, warm pitas (almost like a sandwich, but there is no way you could have picked this thing up).

The meat was absolutely the star here and it was fantastic. It tasted freshly made, and despite the fact that it was all made from beef each of the three types of meat were easily distinguishable and all had their own unique flavor. The grilled cheesy pita is best described as a grilled cheese sandwich in a pita. While it was good it definitely wasn’t the best thing we had.

After dinner we hesitantly moved on to a cappuccino and desert. The desert changes week to week so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but…Mind Blown…not only was the cappuccino superb, the egg cake was something I’d never really eaten before and so worth it. It was four different layers of cake, each with a different texture and flavor. My wife has already decided we will be coming back here next time she wants a desert and a cappuccino, and all be sure to tag along for the meat.

Always loved this place! Took my husband to eat when we lived close by and now every Sunday he eats there and brings me some! They are extremely nice and their food is amazing! Reasonable price for a full stomach (in my case, even leftovers).

Amazing food. Absolutely amazing. Food quality is superb. The owner is absolutely awesome, super nice and friendly. We have never had balkan food before and not only did he explain each component of the dish and how it was made, he also educated us on the culture . All we can say is wow. What a wonderful experience. Call before you come in though, especially on weekends because they sell out (as everything is made in house from scratch, (try everything you can. Seriously. The desserts are made by the owners mother!) I have a new favorite place.

This place is the only restaurant right next to my gym so I've tried it three times. I normally love this type of food but each time I've gone the meals were gross. Small potions, over priced. The owner is rude too.
